What type of bulb is the MG Ruiteng headlight?
The headlight model of MG Ruiteng is H7.
Halogen car headlights:
Halogen car headlights is actually a special incandescent lamp, which is widely used in the field of automobile lighting. The principle is that current passing through the resistor will generate heat, and when the temperature is high enough, it will emit blackbody radiation with wavelength in visible light band, which is generally divided into iodine tungsten lamp and tungsten bromide lamps. After different incandescent lamps are lit, although the filament temperature is not as high as the boiling point of tungsten, a small amount of tungsten will still volatilize at high temperature. The volatilized tungsten will condense when it is cold, and soon a black tungsten film will be formed on the inner wall of the bulb.
Xenon car headlights:
Xenon car headlights is a kind of gas discharge lamp. The battery voltage of 12V is instantly raised to the trigger voltage above 23kV by using a matched electronic ballast. Then, a high voltage pulse is placed between the metal electrodes in a completely sealed miniature quartz bulb, which excites the substances in the bulb (test gas, a small amount of mercury vapor and metal halide) to ionize in the arc to generate light. Argon car headlights has two remarkable advantages: on the one hand, the illumination of xenon lamp bulb is three times higher than that of ordinary halogen lamp bulb, but the energy consumption is only two-thirds; On the other hand, xenon bulbs use light colors similar to sunlight, creating better visual conditions for drivers.
What's the quality of MG Ruiteng's car?
What is the concept of 8 seconds? Among the measured acceleration data of more than 800 vehicles collected by car home Evaluation Center, it ranks in the top 230; Among the measured acceleration data of more than 200 SUVs, it ranks in the top 60; Ranked first among all self-owned brand SUVs tested. Therefore, when SAIC announced that its first urban SUV MG GS (English name MG GS, hereinafter referred to as Ruiteng) could "break 100 in 8 seconds", everyone was surprised. Today, our task is clear-to verify whether these data are reliable.
MG Ruiteng appeared in the name of MG GS before. At present, there is no information about its model, price and configuration. According to previous news, it is expected to be listed in April. We have made a detailed interpretation of its appearance and interior design, and there will be links later. SAIC has previously announced its acceleration performance of "breaking 100 in 8 seconds", but it also claims that it can brake from 100 km/h within 39 meters. Now let's go directly to the topic of this test article and see the acceleration and braking performance of Ruiteng.
Powertrain: 2.0T 6-speed dual clutch
In the future, MG Ruiteng will be equipped with 1.5T and 2.0T engines, both of which are brand-new engines of SAIC, which are also worth looking forward to. But this time we only got the 2.0T model, which is divided into two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. They are all equipped with the same 2.0T 6-speed dual clutch powertrain.
Tires: Very kind Michelin.
The two cars we tested were equipped with Michelin Primacy 3 ST Hao Yue tires with a width of 235mm. This is a very good silent and comfortable tire. We have done a comparative test of the same brand tires before, and interested friends can have a look.
0- 100km/h accelerated test: really!
Two-wheel drive type (front wheel drive)
7.89 seconds! Bad guys, they're not bragging. 2.0T two-wheel drive MG Ruiteng sits firmly at the top of car home's independent SUV acceleration list. When starting, step on the brakes and step on the accelerator at the same time. The maximum allowable speed of the gearbox reaches 2500 rpm, which is higher than many dual-clutch gearboxes. When the brake is released, the front wheel will slip 1 sec or more, and the power of the whole 1 gear will remain very stable. After two slow shifts, the speed will reach100 km/h/h. If the shift can be faster and the acceleration is better, it can be understood that SAIC is to ensure the smooth shift of the gearbox. Anyway, Ruiteng is fast enough. In a short time, only the hybrid BYD Tang can surpass it. Judging from the price and positioning of the Tang Dynasty, it is impossible to form a competitive relationship.
four-wheel drive
The four-wheel drive model won't slip at the beginning, so it is a little more radical than the two-wheel drive model at the beginning. When the middle and rear parts accelerate, the increased weight and slightly lower transmission efficiency of the four-wheel drive system make it run a little slower. The final result is not as good as the two-wheel drive model, but it still ranks third in the acceleration list of independent SUVs. The second place is the predecessor of Dongfeng popular Jingyi X5 1.8T, manual gear.
100-0km/h brake test: amazing. ...
Two-wheel drive
"I'll go!" This surprise is a bit too big. The acceleration performance has reached the expected level, while the braking performance has reached the surprising level. Four Michelin Hyatt tires firmly grasp the ground, and ABS system intervention is gentle and stable. In the end, its braking performance ranked first in the SUV braking list 15, surpassing many luxury brand models, and of course occupying the first position among independent brands.
four-wheel drive
Enough compliments have been said. Let's look at the data ... the braking performance of four-wheel drive models is even more "terrible" and has reached the level of many sports cars. This time, our inherent concept of the performance of our own brand cars has been completely refreshed. Although I'm not the intended customer of MG Ruiteng, I'm really happy to see that my own brand car can perform so well. Well, the performance test is over. Let's restrain our excitement first, and then look at Ruiteng's driving performance.
Highway driving: unbalanced power output and excellent steering quality.
In the performance test, Ruiteng performed exceptionally well. But when you really drive it on the road, everything will "return to reality". It is not that its driving experience is poor, but that its driving quality and performance are average.
The first is the engine. The peak torque of this 2.0L TGI engine at 350 Nm appears at 2000-4000 rpm, and the starting speed is later than that of many joint venture brand turbocharged engines. Although SAIC claims that they used a small inertia turbine in this engine, turbine hysteresis still exists. In D gear, step on the gas pedal lightly. When the engine speed is lower than 2200 rpm, the power is relatively soft. Once the engine speed exceeds 2500 rpm, it will surge immediately. In addition, the Ruiteng throttle is somewhat sluggish, so the power is not on call.
S gear will be better, because the speed is generally maintained above 2000 rpm, and the dynamic response is much better. The gearbox performed better than expected, shifting smoothly, smoother than many dual-clutch gearboxes. This is at the expense of shifting speed. As we have seen in the previous performance test, even when it accelerates rapidly, its shift speed is very average.
Ruiteng steering has excellent texture. The power is even, the steering wheel is light and will not float. The initial turning stage is fuzzy, which reduces the difficulty of operation. In the process of automatic alignment, we can see that the alignment strength is quite uniform, and the situation of "one meal at a time" will basically not appear. This is very helpful to improve the quality, which makes people feel that this is a very advanced car.
The chassis adjustment is too sporty, from two aspects: First, Ruiteng has an excellent sense of control. When rolling on the bumpy road, the suspension reacts very quickly, filtering the impact force at a very fast speed and keeping the car body stable at all times. I sat in the main driver's seat and held the steering wheel, feeling that the car was completely under my control; On the other hand, because the suspension bounces too fast, the impact filtering is not thorough, the car naturally bumps and the comfort is average. When turning at high speed, you can feel that the center of gravity of the car is relatively high and the roll is not small. This kind of running mode is biased towards the former in sports and comfort. But after all, it is an SUV, and its handling is incomparable to that of a car.
Automatic engine start-stop system and automatic parking are very practical configurations. The former helps to reduce emissions and save fuel, and the latter allows you to release your right foot when parking for a short time. Unfortunately, the logic of the start-stop system is that as long as the brake is released in D gear, the engine will start, regardless of whether the automatic parking is turned on or not. Therefore, in order to cooperate with the use, it is necessary to change the gear to N gear or P gear. It would be better if we could add a logic, that is, when the automatic parking is turned on, the engine can still be automatically turned off in D gear.
Fuel consumption test: slightly higher than the recommended value, acceptable in combination with power.
We also tested the fuel consumption of Ruiteng two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive models. Start-stop system, the whole journey is about 10 1km, and the average speed is about 30km/h (there is a difference between two cars' driving computers). Finally, the measured fuel consumption of the two-wheel drive model is 9.8L/ 100km, and that of the four-wheel drive model is 10.7L/ 100km, which is slightly higher than our recommended value. However, combined with the premise that the power level of the two cars is outstanding in the compact autonomous SUV, we think this performance is acceptable.
Noise test: the performance of uniform driving is better than that of excellent standard, and the engine has noise when accelerating.
The noise performance of two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive models is very close, and the noise values of the two models at each speed are lower than the excellent standards set by us, so they perform well. When driving at a constant speed of 60km/h, 80km/h and 120km/h, wind noise is the main noise, which has a certain relationship with the body shape of SUV. However, when accelerating, the engine noise is very obvious (which cannot be reflected in the noise test results), and the sound is somewhat broken, which affects the hearing experience of the people in the car.
Four-wheel drive system: a common timely four-wheel drive for urban SUVs
Ruiteng's four-wheel drive model is equipped with a timely four-wheel drive system on the basis of the predecessor, and its structure is common in urban SUVs. The front and rear axle wheels are open differential, and the electronic system is used to limit the slip between the wheels. At present, many mainstream self-owned brand load-bearing body SUVs (that is, urban SUVs we often say) are not equipped with four-wheel drive systems. SAIC is ahead this time, keeping in line with the joint venture brand.
Pass data: it belongs to the upper-middle level of urban SUV.
Off-road driving: the chassis is solid.
Although it is mainly an SUV that moves in the city, because the owner does not choose a car, there will be certain requirements for its off-road ability. Even if it can't be used for high-intensity off-road, SUV has better ability to deal with simple unpaved roads than cars. Ruiteng's passing data is good Let's take a look at its actual performance.
I'm a little worried about Ruiteng's tires on the unpaved road covered with gravel. In order to ensure the road handling and improve the visual effect, the flat rate of the tire wall is only 50, which will be flatter than the hard-core off-road vehicle. Theoretically, the probability of puncture will be greater, which is also the characteristic of almost all urban SUVs. In addition, the smaller flattening rate will also affect the comfort. Driving on the gravel road, the bumps in the Ruiteng car are quite severe. On the other hand, the chassis feels solid, the car will not run off, and it is very confident to drive.
Even on such a bumpy road, the steering wheel will not convey a strong sense of road, and the vibration amplitude is not large. If you let go of your hands (I'm just doing an experiment, please don't try), the steering wheel will hardly turn with the uneven road that the wheels run over. In addition, as mentioned earlier, the steering amount is relatively large, and it is not difficult to get started.
Four-wheel drive models are equipped with steep slope descent function, and the preset speed is 10km/h, which cannot be adjusted. This speed is enough for general off-road driving. If it is a steep slope, it is not easy to slow down on the steep slope. Still have to control yourself. Of course, for Ruiteng, the steep slope is insurmountable, so this preset speed is reasonable.
Our unpaved pavement is not difficult, and Ruiteng can fully cope with it. Its approach angle, departure angle and longitudinal passing angle have not been tested, and it has certain passing ability. It can also challenge some more difficult off-road conditions, but I think this road is the limit of most car owners' daily use.
Steel frame test: the ability to get rid of difficulties is at the normal level of urban SUV.
In the field cross-country link, we didn't encounter a difficult cross-axis. In order to verify the performance of Ruiteng four-wheel drive system, we also carried out a conventional steel frame test. In the most difficult single-wheel adhesion test, Ruiteng failed to get out of trouble; In the "cross-axis" test, it successfully got out of trouble.
For an urban SUV like Ruiteng, there is only an open differential at the front and rear axles, so the limited slip between wheels can only be realized by electronic system. At this time, whether the electronic system can brake the skidding wheel quickly and effectively directly affects the vehicle's ability to get out of trouble. Obviously, Ruiteng's electronic system is designed for highway driving, and there is no special slip-limiting program, so it is reasonable that the cross shaft is difficult to get out of trouble. This performance is the same as that of most joint venture brand urban SUVs. As mentioned earlier, there are not many self-owned brand urban SUVs equipped with this timely four-wheel drive system.
Appearance and interior: strong sense of design, excellent interior assembly technology, but ordinary material.
Although we have done the interior and exterior decoration design of MG Ruiteng before, we still want to share our views and experiences with you because of our long contact time. The first is design. Ruiteng is definitely not a moderate model. It is not only powerful in performance, but also bold in design.
There is almost no difference in appearance between the two-wheel drive model and the four-wheel drive model we tested. The four-wheel drive model only has more boarding pedals and xenon headlights than the two-wheel drive model. There are no "AWD" and "4WD" signs at the rear of the car, only "SAIC" and "GS" signs. But now that I have a Chinese name, I won't use the name "GS" often in the future. Therefore, the logo at the rear of the car may change when it is listed in the future.
Ruiteng's interior design is simple and generous, without losing the sense of design. The pentagonal air outlet is consistent with the design language of the appearance. The design of the steering wheel follows the style of the previous MG model, which is square and has no sense of movement. It may be ok to put it in another car, but it really doesn't match the design around here.
The assembly process in Sharp Car is very good, and the joints between various parts are very small and firm, which belongs to the first-class level of independent brands and surpasses many joint venture models. However, I have to spit out that hard materials are used in almost all parts of the center console and door panel, which makes people feel a bit cheap.
Very easy to use inkaNet4.0
The two Ruiteng we tested are equipped with inkaNet4.0 human-computer interaction system, and the four-wheel drive version has more comprehensive functions. This is a newly upgraded system, just released MG GT. According to official data, its processor, memory, etc. They have been greatly upgraded and equipped with infrared touch screens different from capacitive screens and resistive screens. After experience, we found that this system is not generally easy to use, the touch of the screen is excellent, and the response speed of the system is also excellent, far exceeding most human-computer interaction systems of the same price model.
The video talks about 3G network charging. Later, we got the news from SAIC. After the expiration of the free period, users will have a variety of packages to choose from when they renew their fees. The entry-level package price is about 120 yuan/year, which is not expensive. The specific package content and tariff have not come out yet. Please refer to the official information given by Ruiteng when it went public.
Configuration difference between the two cars: the specific model has not been announced. Let's take a look first.
The 2.0T two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive models we tested have relatively high configurations. At present, we don't know whether they will become the top and second top models in Ruiteng automobile series, because the government has not released any information about the models. Just mentioned the difference in appearance. Now look inside. In the car, the difference between the two is only in the following configuration.
