Evolution of Chuanjiang Town
On June 4, 2008, Chuangang Town and Jiangzao Town merged to form Chuanjiang Town. The former Chuangang Town governs Chuangang Neighborhood Committee and 12 administrative villages, namely Zhihao, Zhinan, North Sichuan, Chuangang, South Sichuan, Rongxing, Baoquan, Xieqiao, West Sichuan, Qijiang, Shuangqiao and Sanhekou, while the former Jiang Zao Town governs Jiang Zao Neighborhood Committee and Mokuang Town, Yicheng, Jiang Zhong, Jiangchuan, Wanghaitai and Sanhekou. Eight administrative villages, namely Baziqiao, Anton, Nanxing, Dacheng, Bao Tong, Tonghai, Zongjihong and Peide, which were under the jurisdiction of the former Chuangang Town, were placed under the jurisdiction of zhangzhishan Town. Five administrative villages under the jurisdiction of Jiangzao Town, namely Dongjiadai, Limin, Zhouzhaogang, Zhengchang and Minping, are under the jurisdiction of Xianfeng Town. On February 20th, Chuanjiang Town was formally established.
