How to brake when skating?

Skating brakes are as follows:

1, T-type brake: first put your feet in a T-shape, with your right foot or left foot in front and the other foot behind, keep your front legs slightly arched and your rear legs on the ground. Skating T-type brake should ensure that the "T" shape of the foot is not broken during the braking process, and the stable state can stabilize the braking.

Skating T-brakes can practice more one-legged skating, because before T-brakes, the center of gravity should be shifted to the front foot, and then the back foot should be lifted to make a T-shape. The front foot must be steady, and the back foot should press the ice hard to increase the friction. Do not tilt your feet left or right. Using the friction between the rear foot wheel and the ground to slow down the brake, the speed of T-type brake will slowly decrease.

2. Eight-character brake: the feet are open, the legs are in a figure of eight, the center of gravity of the bent legs moves down, and the body leans forward or backward slightly. The eight-character brake is suitable for use on gentle slopes and long slopes. When using the eight-character brake, keep your eyes straight ahead. When braking, the leg shape of the eight-character brake will slide inward, and your legs should be strongly supported outward to brake slowly. Practice more when you use the eight-character brake.

Beginners can practice skiing braking by leaning over, practicing with supports such as handrails and slowly sliding around the wall of the skating rink. If you feel like falling down during practice, you can use the round foot brake in front of the roller skates to stop the fall. When using the round foot brake, keep your body balanced and don't slip because the action stops.

Precautions:

1, choose a safe venue, skate in lakes, rivers and ponds that naturally freeze, and choose a frozen solid ice surface without ice holes and cracks, and try to be close to the shore. In early winter and early spring, the ice has not frozen or has begun to melt, so don't go skating to avoid breaking the ice and causing accidents.

2. Beginners should not be reckless, but should learn step by step, especially pay attention to keeping the balance of the body's center of gravity and avoiding falling backwards. When there are many skaters, pay attention to avoid collision.

In the freezing season, the weather is very cold, so wear a hat and gloves when skating, and keep warm.

4. Skating time should not be too long, and activities in a cold environment will cause great heat loss. Wear a warm coat at rest and untie the shoelaces of skates.
