A phonologist in China's Three Kingdoms Period. Made an order to leave school. According to Pan Hui's Rhyme Preface in Sui Dynasty, Li Deng's Shenglei is the earliest ancient rhyme book. "Sound Category" has been lost. The Tang Dynasty sealed Wen Jian Ji as follows: "Wei has Li Dengzhe, who wrote ten volumes of" Sound Category ",including 12,520 words, with five words and no department." Other books are transliterated with the annotations in the book of sound. For example, Yan Shigu's comment on the word "Gaodiji" in Hanshu: "Li Deng and Lu Chen are homophonic in opposite phases"; There are also direct sounds, for example, Yan Shigu's "Kuangmiuzhengsu", Volume VII, quotes "sound category" and "word forest": "wandering sound tube". Later generations have different views on the writing style of Wen Jian Ji because of their different understanding of "no ministries". "Five tones", some people think it refers to tone, others think it refers to the rough classification of rhyme; Some people interpret it as "unbiased", while others interpret it as "without rhyme", thus denying that Sheng Lei is a rhyme book. As for the authenticity of the style of this book, it needs further research.
Li Deng's date of birth and death is unknown. Ma Guohan and Chen Zhan thought that Li Deng and Sun Yan appeared at the same time, but there was no evidence. "Wei Shu" said: "Wang Dian Temple in Yiyang, Jin ordered Lu to be the city and to be quiet. Zuo Xueling wrote five volumes of rhymes." It can be seen that Li Deng died in Wei History Museum at the beginning of Wei Jin Dynasty, so he was called "Zuo Xueling", and his main activity time should be related to Lu Chen and Lu Jing.
