At the sultry noon, Jinger took me to explore a small gate of Peking University. I couldn't get in, so I had to look at several teaching buildings outside the railing. At the gate of Tsinghua, I looked at the word "Tsinghua University" and forgot it.
Yuanmingyuan always has places for people to visit!
Jinger wants to stay in a cool place to catch up on the manuscript, and my walking map is gone, so she has to wander around by herself. Remember one thing, south entrance, south exit.
Yuanmingyuan is really a lotus world!
On the winding river, on the restored pavilion, on the cruise ship and even on the dry land, you can enjoy a jar of lotus flowers, which is far from welcoming tourists. In midsummer, the lotus here is different!
What about the incomparable royal garden? What about evil fire? What about the history of shame? Is it just a pool of lotus flowers and a charming weeping willow on the shore?
That's not true.
I paid attention to the official WeChat account in the park, so I can visit the park and listen to the explanation.
The south gate is the palace gate of Qichun Garden. The destroyed buildings in Qichun Garden can't even see the ruins. Each site has a monument engraved with a brief introduction of the site for tourists to mourn and daydream.
Rebuilding jianbi pavilion. Tourists come here to admire the lotus and take photos, and I am no exception.
Going forward, it is a broken bridge and a real monument. There are more than 200 bridges in Yuanmingyuan, which is one of the two existing bridges, Kongming Stone Bridge. The residual bridges, flowing water and weeping willows here, combined together, seem to be somewhat poetic and historical.
Further on, it is the former site of Qiu Hange, which was once used by the concubines of the Qing emperor to enjoy autumn; There is a fairy dew site, which is entrusted with the desire of the Qing emperor to live forever; There is also Zhengjue Temple, the only ancient building in Yuanmingyuan that I missed. If there were a quiet map, there would be no such regret.
After visiting Qichun Garden, I came to Changchun Garden, which is still the world of lotus and weeping willows.
There is a restored arch bridge which is very unique. It is the tallest circular bridge, the famous Kingfisher Bridge. I'm going up to enjoy the lotus, it's hot! The emperor came here to enjoy the lotus in summer. Is it cool and comfortable?
There is a site called "Serene Kincaid", which was inscribed by Emperor Qianlong. The origin of the name is interesting. After the landscape here was restored, Emperor Qianlong came here with his minions. Ministers dare not display their literary talent, so they have to give it to Emperor Qianlong, who loves to write poems. While Emperor Qianlong was meditating, a breeze blew, which lifted his skirt and his literary thoughts. It's called Serene Kincaid!
When the British and French allied forces invaded, the buildings here were separated by a river, which saved them from misfortune. When Eight-Nation Alliance invaded, the Japanese misinterpreted the name here as: The island is open and there is gold! I didn't hesitate to dig three feet here, Nuggets, but I failed.
The story behind a name is really rich!
At about one o'clock, I finally came to the site of Xiyanglou. It costs fifteen yuan to go in, but there are no lotus flowers and weeping willows here, and the last thing I see is the ruins.
Emperor Qianlong was very enlightened at that time, and invited Italian missionary ShiNing Lang and French missionary Benoit to design western-style gardens here. Emperor Qianlong can eat western food, watch music fountains and listen to music here.
Besides, Emperor Qianlong is still trying to win the heart of a foreign woman here.
Emperor Qianlong built a separate bedroom here-the Garden Studio-the landmark building of Yuanmingyuan, and gave it to his favorite princess (Xiangxiang Princess) who was married from Xinjiang. Unfortunately, Princess Xiangxiang doesn't like it here. There is a fountain in front of the door, which is wet and noisy. Later, the bedroom became a grocery store, full of foreign gifts.
Just to build a separate bedroom for Princess Xiangxiang. Emperor Qianlong also built a square appearance for her here to facilitate her worship, because the princess from afar believed in Islam.
Spoil and respect her, envy the Sixth Hospital.
Tang Haiyan, another place here, is also my interest.
Emperor Qianlong hosted foreign envoys here, so Haiyan Hall is equivalent to the Great Hall of the People, and the famous hydraulic clock with twelve heads of animals is here. The heads of the twelve animals, that is, the heads of the twelve zodiac animals, are made of bronze and placed on both sides in a figure of eight, representing twelve o'clock in ancient times. Each time, the corresponding heads of animals spray water. At twelve noon, twelve animal heads sprayed water at the same time, and the sound was Hong Zhong, which was very spectacular.
1860, when the British and French allied forces looted Yuanmingyuan, the twelve animal heads were plundered abroad. From then on, the twelve animal heads will never get together again. After more than 40 years of separation/kloc-0, their return journey is full of ups and downs.
Cow head, monkey head and tiger head returned to China in 2000. Poly Group spent more than 30 million Hong Kong dollars to buy it back, and now it is stored in Beijing Poly Art Museum.
Pig head, returned to China in 2003. Dr. Stanley Ho, the gambling king, spent nearly HK$ 7 million to buy it back, and now it is also stored in the Poly Art Museum in Beijing.
Ma Shou returned to China in 2007. It was also bought back by Dr. Stanley Ho, the gambling king, and spent HK$ 6,965.438 million+and still donated to the country free of charge.
Rat-headed rabbit head 20 13 returned to China. The French Pino family bought it back at a high price and donated it to China for free.
At present, seven animal heads have returned to China, and the dragon heads are well preserved in Taiwan Province Province. The whereabouts of the head of the snake, the head of the chicken, the head of the dog and the head of the sheep are unknown.
This is entirely a reward for Zhao, although it cost a lot of money.
Behind the ruins of Yuanmingyuan is an extravagant and weakening Qing Empire.
Behind the beast's return home is an increasingly powerful country.
The fragrance of lotus flowers in the garden still lingers/kloc-the shame of 0/00 years ago.
