In 854 AD, he entered the department and was appointed as Dr. Jin Guanglu, in charge of palace architecture, royal cemetery, astronomical observation, royal sacrifice and other affairs. In 875 AD, due to the Huang Chao Uprising, Yang Gong fled Chang 'an with his palace geomantic cheats. Later, he received apprentices in Ganzhou, Jiangxi, and taught the art of Feng Shui. Later generations called his geomantic theory "Yang Gongfeng Water" or "Yang Gong Water Law".

Theoretical core
There are storms and lightning in the sky, and the seasons change for the sky. There are rivers and mountains on the earth, and earthquakes and floods are tunnels. People have diseases and disasters, and life and death change for human nature. The way of harmony between heaven and earth is hidden in it. Shun is prosperous, and reverse is dead. Yang Gong's water law mainly embodies the spatial factor, whose core value lies in regulating space, and the essence of this spatial factor is "ternary sexual intercourse".
Main theoretical basis
The essence of Yang Gong's water theory is all taught by the teacher. Other theoretical classics are: Yilong Sutra, Han Long Sutra, Tujia, Quadratic Method, Li Zui Fu, Sand Drawing, Abdominal Sutra, Looking at the Dragon Sutra, and Inverted Staff Method. Shu Shu Shu Shu Series (IX) records five books written by Yang Gong: Yilong Jing, Hanlong Jing, Burying with an Inverted Staff, Qingnangao Yu and Tian Yu Jing. These ancient books are regarded as the theoretical basis of Yang Gong's water law.
