Why is Manjushri Bodhisattva called the teacher of the Seven Buddhas?

From the four Buddhas of Sakyamuni Buddha to the previous eons plus the three Buddhas of the past kalpas, there are seven Buddhas who have become Buddhas in the Saha world, and Manjushri Bodhisattva has done so. Their teacher made them become Buddhas, so they are called "Teachers of the Seven Buddhas".

First, Manjusri Bodhisattva, whose Sanskrit name is Ma?ju?rī, is transliterated as Manjusri, Manjusri, and Manzushili, and is translated as wonderful virtue, wonderful auspiciousness, wonderful music, and prince of Dharma. Also known as Ma?ju?rī, Tongzhen and Rutong Manjushri Bodhisattva. He is one of the four great Bodhisattvas of Buddhism. It has a deep relationship with the Prajna Sutra, so it is called the Great Wisdom Manjushri Bodhisattva.

Second, Manjushri is a symbol of great wisdom. Manjushri is one of the parents of Buddha. Manjushri Bodhisattva, also known as the Prince of Dharma, is a symbol of wisdom. He has a purple-gold body and is shaped like a boy. He has a five-knot crown on his neck. He holds a diamond sword in his right hand (representing the power of wisdom). He can kill demons and cut off all troubles. He holds a green lotus in his left hand. , there is a Vajra Prajna Sutra treasure on the flower, which symbolizes supreme wisdom, and the mount is a lion (representing wisdom and power).

Generally known as Ma?ju?rī Bodhisattva, he and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva are the attendants of Sakyamuni Buddha, respectively expressing the special virtues of Buddha's wisdom and Buddha's wisdom. The lion he rides on symbolizes his might.

Mount Wutai is located in the northeast of Wutai County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province. It consists of a series of mountains and peaks, five of which surround the peaks. , the peak is flat and wide, like a platform of earth, hence the name.

The Buddha Sakyamuni never visited China when he was alive, but Wutai Mountain is clearly recorded in the Buddhist scriptures. The Buddha himself said that it was the place where Manjushri Bodhisattva preached.

The "Residences of Bodhisattvas" in "Dafang Guangfo Huayan Sutra" records: "There is a place in the northeast called Qingliang Mountain. Since the past, all the Bodhisattvas have stopped in it. The existing Bodhisattva , named Ma?ju?rī, together with his retinue and an assembly of ten thousand Bodhisattvas, are always there and preaching the Dharma.”

China was called China in ancient times, and Mount Wutai is also located in the northeast of India. The "Qingliang Mountain" and "Wuding" mountains mentioned in the above two scriptures are exactly in line with the five majestic mountains and cool climate of Mount Wutai. characteristics.

Volume 15 of "Huayan Sutra Exploring Mysteries" written by Fa Zang in the Tang Dynasty said: "Qingliang Mountain is the Wutai Mountain in Daizhou. There is the ancient Qingliang Temple in it, which is named after the snow in winter and summer. There are three volumes of biographies of this mountain and Manjusri Lingying."

Cheng Guan, the fourth ancestor of Huayan Sect in the Tang Dynasty, also said in "Huayan Jingshu": "Qingliang Mountain is Yanmen County of Daizhou. Wutai Mountain also has Qingliang Temple in its middle. It has accumulated solid ice over the years, and there is still snow in summer. It has never been hot, so it is called Qingliang.

The five peaks stand out, with no trees on the top, like a platform of earth. Therefore, it is called Wutai. It means that the five wisdoms of my great sage have been perfected, the five eyes have been purified, the true secrets of the five parts have been combined, and the true source of the five yins has been discovered. Therefore, the crown of the five Buddhas is worn on the head, and the bun is divided into five directions to transport the five vehicles. The key is to eliminate the disaster caused by the five turbidities.
