Occurrence characteristics and control methods of porcine circovirus disease

It's May, the weather is hot and humid, and all kinds of pig diseases are prone to occur. Recently, many pig farmers frequently reacted to porcine circovirus disease, which caused great harm to the growth of pigs and even led to the death of pigs. So how to effectively prevent and control it? Let's have a look.

First, the epidemic characteristics of porcine circovirus disease

The incidence of this disease is the highest in weaned piglets, and its main clinical manifestations are multiple system failure syndrome, dermatitis nephrotic syndrome and reproductive disorder in weaned piglets.

1. Multisystem syndrome in weaned piglets is common in 2-3 months old piglets. Symptoms are pale skin, rough hair on the back, emaciation, loss of appetite, papules on the skin surface, swollen and pale lymph, punctate necrotic foci and erythema on the ear.

2. Dermatitis nephrotic syndrome and symptoms 1 occur simultaneously or successively. Generally, 2-month-old piglets have more diseases. The clinical manifestations are elevated body temperature, loss of appetite, listlessness, dyskinesia, weakness, purple mounds on the skin, swelling of the kidney with white necrotic spots after incision.

3. Reproductive disorders mainly occur in pregnant sows.

After being infected with circovirus, the virus can infect fetal pigs through placenta, resulting in miscarriage, stillbirth and weakness of offspring of sows. If you are infected with circovirus in the third trimester, it may cause congenital tremor in newborn piglets. It is common that piglets will jump in groups to varying degrees soon after birth, resulting in piglets not being able to eat breast milk.

Second, the prevention methods of porcine circovirus

1, vaccine immunization.

Vaccination can effectively prevent the occurrence of circular ring disease with high probability.

Sows are immunized twice at the age of 6~8 months and once a month before delivery. Multiparous sows are immunized once a month and a half before delivery, once a month before delivery and once every six months thereafter; /kloc-piglets aged from 0/5 to 20 days are exempted for the first time and once every two weeks; Boars are immunized once a month before breeding, once every two weeks, and then once every six months.

2. Drug health care.

When mixed with mixed antibacterial agents (doxycycline) and Mianyili Guanjia (Fuzheng Jiedu Powder), it can effectively inhibit and prevent porcine circovirus, purify Eperythrozoon and other diseases, improve the disease resistance of pigs, resist bacteria and diminish inflammation, and enhance the immunity of pigs.

Third, the effective treatment of porcine circovirus

Scheme 1: doxycycline combined with immune enhancement mixture is the first choice for the treatment of porcine circovirus disease, aiming at the initial stage of the disease;

Scheme 2: for pigs with mild mixed infection, doxycycline, comprehensive anti-inflammatory agent and drugs to improve immunity are used as mixed ingredients;

Option 3: If accompanied by severe respiratory symptoms, consider mixed infection of blue ear virus, and option 1 is tilmicosin premix treatment; If diarrhea is serious, add gastrointestinal repair.
