Candidates who are not admitted by military or public security ministries will be admitted to the local higher education institutions they reported, which will not affect the admissions of other institutions. Therefore, candidates who apply for military academies will undoubtedly increase their chances of being admitted.

When applying for military academies and academies affiliated with the Ministry of Public Security, candidates should not only take the national unified proposition examination, but also participate in interviews at such academies. The main measures are as follows:

1. Candidates applying for PLA academies or armed police academies will be interviewed at the same time as the physical examination. The interview criteria mainly refer to the physical examination for visual inspection.

2. Candidates who apply for public security colleges will be interviewed according to the interview standards announced by the admissions office of the candidate's local college.

Those who do not accept the interview or fail the interview will not be admitted.

3. Candidates who apply for the public security college as their first choice and whose college entrance examination scores reach the minimum control score for admission to the second batch (general undergraduate colleges) will be interviewed at the designated location within the specified time.

Candidates who voluntarily give up the interview will be regarded as changing their preferences privately and will be downgraded.

4. The recruitment office of each province (autonomous region, municipality directly under the Central Government) is responsible for notifying candidates of interviews. The specific method is the same as the physical examination method.

Among the fresh graduates recommended by middle schools, outstanding students and student cadres who have been commended at the regional level or above will be given priority in military academies for admission. In addition, candidates applying for the naval ship (submarine) department chief and grassroots command majors who have passed the physical examination and whose college entrance examination scores have reached the local minimum control score will be given priority for admission.

5. If the candidate successfully passes the initial physical examination, interview test, political, ideological and moral assessment, cultural examination, and physical re-examination, the door of the military academy will be open to you. According to regulations, after candidates enter the school, the military academies will also conduct a re-examination. If the candidates do not meet the requirements in the re-examination, the military academies have the right to return the candidates. The re-examination is carried out within 3 months of new students entering the school, and the main content is political, cultural, physical and other assessments. The examination of political, ideological and moral character is based on the political review conditions, focusing on whether candidates are willing to dedicate themselves to the cause of national defense, and whether they love the military and their majors; the cultural assessment focuses on the candidates' basic cultural knowledge and confirms whether the candidates' college entrance examination scores are authentic; the physical assessment is based on The physical examination of military academy cadets is carried out according to the standards. The conditions and standards for all re-examinations are the same as those required for admission. Therefore, as long as the candidates take the various tests, assessments and inspections seriously before admission and pass all the examinations, they will generally be able to successfully pass the various examinations after admission.

If you pass the reexamination, you can obtain student status and military status and become a formal student. The school where you are located will issue a "Certificate of Joining the Military". The certificate will be in duplicate and sent to the Ministry of People's Armed Forces and the student's relatives where the candidate's original residence is. This serves as a Certificate of military affiliation. For students who have obtained student status, their military service years will be calculated from the time of enrollment.
