I don't believe this myself (because I am a Christian)
Many post-80s people around me are superstitious, especially in marriage. Men and women should get married before they get engaged. If they don't agree, the parents will try their best to separate or get together everywhere until they are satisfied. I still don't understand this. If both men and women love each other very much, it's time to talk about marriage. So, why should we combine this so-called eight characters? Can it be said that if the eight characters are combined, the marriage will be smooth sailing? But the truth is right or wrong! Some of my classmates also got married in eight characters, but several couples have divorced. It's a great irony. Whether it is marriage or everything, it shows that people should not be superstitious.
