What is the custom of engagement in Pingyin?
The traditional engagement custom in Pingyin is this: both men and women write birthdays as Geng stickers, which are handed down by the matchmaker. Then, the man asked Mr. Bafangzi to study Chen Geng, a man and a woman commonly known as "Carving Eight Characters", to see if the two sides hit it off and hit it off. If there is a match, the man will formally issue a written marriage certificate to the woman with a dowry (money and goods). After the woman agrees, she will formally reply to the man in writing. Then, the two sides held a banquet on an auspicious day to exchange wedding papers (commonly known as changing stickers), and invited their matchmakers and parents to attend, to show their solemnity. After changing the stickers, both men and women immediately changed their names. Lifelong marriage is a conclusion.
