1. Step 1: Run the engine to reach the operating temperature. Then jack up the vehicle, pull the handbrake, and squeeze the front wheel with a wooden wedge;
2. Step 2: Put the old oil tank under the oil pan, find the oil drain bolt of the oil pan, and slowly unscrew the oil drain bolt, taking care not to touch the hot oil. Let the oil drop for a while. Check the oil drain bolt, reinstall the oil drain bolt, and be careful not to tighten the bolt too tightly to avoid damaging the oil pan;
3. Step 3: Move the oil tank under the oil filter, loosen the oil filter with the oil filter wrench, and then unscrew it by hand. Remember to wear gloves if the filter element is still hot. Even if the filter element was screwed tightly before, as long as the interface screw for installing the filter element and the parts around the filter element are not damaged, there is no need to worry about damaging the filter element during disassembly. After all, we will no longer use the removed filter element.
4. Step 4: Select the appropriate oil filter according to the user manual;
5. Step 5: Coat the interface gasket of the new filter element with new engine oil. If the installation position of the filter element is vertical, some new engine oil can be poured into the filter element, which can reduce the dry grinding when the engine starts next time. Screw in the filter element by hand and tighten the filter element according to the instructions (usually screw in the filter element by hand for 3\/4 turns);
6. Step 6: Pour new oil into the oil pan, and pay attention to the instructions in the user manual. A funnel can be used to prevent the oil from pouring out of the engine. Check the lower part of the engine for leaks. If there is no leakage, put down the vehicle, check the dipstick and start the engine. After starting, the indicator light on the instrument should go out immediately. Finally, turn off the engine and check the oil quantity repeatedly, and dispose of the old oil and filter elements according to local regulations.
