Langya Mountain, formerly known as Langshan Mountain, was named after Zhi, the son of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, who took refuge here to escape the "witch prison". Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty was ill in his later years. He suspects that his left and right sides are caused by witchcraft (burying puppet people and cursing people), involving relatives such as the queen, prince and princess. Liu Yuxin committed suicide and his son fled the mountain, hence the name.
