I don't know the Twelve Shapes yet, but I know how to draw tigers, dragons and snakes. I can draw simple strokes by five elements boxing.

First of all, practicing five elements boxing is definitely not enough. If there were enough, there wouldn't be twelve shapes.
Secondly, five elements boxing is a female boxing, and the more she practices, the more refined she becomes. Five behaviors are the mother, and twelve shapes are used. The more you practice the Twelve Shapes, the more agile you become. If you pursue martial arts, you must practice the Twelve Shapes.
Finally, only by practicing the five elements and twelve forms, can we realize the thousand turns into one form. It's like painting. If you don't see all the mountains, how can you hide all the famous mountains and rivers in your heart, and how can you write like a god?
