Dog's nails

Dogs are no longer wild animals. There is absolutely no need for them to run around for survival. The toenails they wear in normal play and slapstick can no longer meet the demand of offsetting the growth rate of toenails. Therefore, it is necessary to cut your toenails. Some owners don't cut the dog's toenails all the year round, which causes the toenails to break and crack, making the dog miserable. In addition, dogs walk on the ground by foot pads, which has nothing to do with toenails. Dragging 16 long toenails, not to mention the burden of walking, in the long run, it is inevitable to develop into flat feet. If the floor is smooth and the dog can't catch every toe, it will become an external figure and will be deformed when walking.

Many racing dogs cut their toenails clean soon after birth (shorter than we usually do), and with reasonable training, when they grow up, the dog's foot pads are elastic, thick, standing and running, fashionable and really beautiful.

There is a magic weapon to cut toenails.

1. I often deliberately touched the dog's feet from an early age to get it used to it.

2. Show the scissors early so that they don't feel terrible.

3. It is best to put it on the beauty table (a table, washing machine and other high platforms are also acceptable), and the height can make it not distracted.

4. Don't be impatient. Don't expect a dog who is not used to cutting his toenails to finish it in 3 minutes. Don't cut it for too long at a time, you can cut it in a few days.

If it won't hurt strangers, try to let strangers cut them, or simply go to the pet beauty salon regularly.

Myth 6: The hair on the soles of dogs' feet can increase the friction when touching the ground, which is beneficial to walking.

Unlike human nails, dogs' toenails become longer, and blood vessels and peripheral nerves also grow forward, so the longer they wait, the harder it is to start. As long as it is cut a little shorter, it may bleed and make it cry.

It is best to start training when you are young. After getting into the habit, if you can be careful not to cut your nails, you won't be so crazy.

1. Put the dog on his thigh and gently sweep his head to stabilize them.

2. Pick up one of the feet and cut off the long nails one by one with special nail clippers.

The angle between nail clipper and nail should be 45 degrees.

4. Don't cut the meat root too close (dark and opaque), otherwise it will bleed.

5. If you accidentally bleed, stop bleeding with absorbent cotton and hemostatic immediately.

6. After cutting your toenails, cut the hair on the soles of your feet, parallel to the foot pads. If it is too long, the pet will slip, and if it is too short, the foot wall will be easily punctured by hard objects.

1. If your pet is afraid of cutting toenails, you can find an extra friend to hold the pet so that you can concentrate on cutting toenails.

2. Manicure every two to three weeks.

3. Clean the nail clipper with disinfectant after each nail clipping.
