Why is Weichi Gong's son called Liu Baolin? Why is Liu not Wei Chi?

Weichi Gong's son

Weichi Gong, the founding general of the Tang Dynasty, and his original wife Mei Xiuying had a son named Wei Chi Baolin. It is said that Wei Chi Bao-lin was born with a black face and a tiger beard, with a majestic appearance, a Strafe hanging around his waist and a snake spear in his hand. He is superb in martial arts and brave in the three armed forces. It can be said that like a tiger, like a son.

At the end of Sui Dynasty, the world was full of smoke. With a martial arts skill, Weichi Gong made great contributions to the democracy, so he reluctantly left his wife at home and went out to join the army. When the husband and wife said goodbye, Mei Xiuying was pregnant, and Weichi Gong, the prospective father, could not bear to leave because the child had not yet been born. After much deliberation, he decided to name the child Baolin, and left one of his personal weapon, Shuang Bian, engraved with the name of Wei Chibaolin, as evidence for his father and son to recognize each other in the future.

However, in the midst of the chaos, Mei Xiuying was unfortunately taken captive by Liu Guozhen, the general commander of Bailiangguan, a northern country, and forced to marry. In order to protect her husband's blood, Mei Xiuying had to drag out an ignoble existence and promised to marry Liu Guozhen. After the child was born, he naturally became the son of Liu Guozhen, named Liu Baolin. When he grew up, he learned martial arts and became a unified soldier under Liu Guozhen. In the years of growing up, Mei Xiuying kept her life story secret and didn't dare to reveal any truth.

after Li Yuan ascended the throne, he sent Li Shimin to lead an expedition to the east and discuss with the west. For a time, Tang Jun was invincible. Weichi Gong wounded Liu Guozhen when he entered Bailiang Pass as a vanguard. Liu Baolin, a youthful man, avenged his father, and fought Weichi Gong for three days without a tie. When Mei Xiuying learned about it, she finally told her son's life story truthfully and advised him not to recognize the thief as a father. Liu Baolin flashed a whip engraved with the words "Wei Chi Bao Lin" at the front. When Shuang Bian met, the father and son finally made friends, so they turned against the white customs, killed Liu Guozhen and avenged their family. Mei Xiuying remarried, ashamed and resentful. Since then, father and son have fought side by side and made countless contributions to the Tang Dynasty.

Weichi Gong's black-and-white wife

Although Weichi Gong looks darker, he still found the other half of his life, that is, the black-and-white wife. And Weichi Gong's lot is really not shallow. In the process of marriage, she married two ladies at a time-Mrs. Black and Mrs. White. This story was also passed down as a much-told story in the military camp of Li Shimin, the king of Qin at that time. Speaking of the acquaintance between Weichi Gong and Mrs Black and White, it can actually be called love at first sight in Weichi Gong.

During the battle between Li Shimin, king of Qin, and Meng Haigong, Weichi Gong went forward to call for battle on behalf of the king of Qin, and Meng Haigong sent his black lady to fight in order to prove his strength. Because Weichi Gong himself was black, the first time he saw Mrs. Black, he felt that he had met his own family, and he loved her very much. So he captured Mrs. Black alive and took her to his own camp without handing her over to the king of Qin for disposal. When the king of Qin knew the reason, he sent Cheng Yaojin to fix it, only to be slapped by the black lady. Fortunately, Weichi Gong held the black lady's sword and was able to keep Cheng Yaojin's life. Later, Weichi Gong planned to let Lady Black go without telling the King of Qin. A friend in need is a friend indeed, and Lady Black was moved by Weichi Gong and promised to surrender.

the next day, Mrs. Black's sister, Mrs. Bai, came to call the battle, and Weichi Gong captured her alive again. Under the persuasion of Mrs. Black, Mrs. Bai also agreed to submit, so they held a wedding together in the military tent and married Weichi Gong together, becoming his black and white wife. From then on, the two men followed Weichi Gong to fight in the north, but after they got married, the black and white ladies never went to the battlefield to kill the enemy, and they devoted themselves to having children at home, caring for each other and teaching their children. Although they were two sisters who served a husband together, their feelings between husband and wife were also very harmonious.
