The following is what we often say about cultural heritage:
Reflection: In ancient China, the court had to go to the early dynasty. Ministers will get up at three or four o'clock in the morning, and the emperor will sit in the dragon chair at five o'clock to start discussions. After the court, the emperor had to catch up on sleep from seven to nine. This time is Chen, and the zodiac corresponding to Chen is dragon, so it is called Huilong tactic. Up and down, the emperor sleeps and the minister sleeps, and finally it is called "going back to sleep".
Can you go to court before dawn without being sleepy?
East and West: Why can things be called objects instead of North and South? This is related to the theory of five elements. The five elements say that the east belongs to wood, the south belongs to fire, the west belongs to gold, and the north belongs to water. Wood and gold in the east and west can carry everything, and fire and water in the north and south can melt everything, so things are used to refer to everything. If someone scolds you as a stranger, it actually means that you are a foreigner, that is to say, you are not Jin Mu, but incompatible and heartless, so you are being accused of being heartless and irresponsible. Jin Ming: Why do you want to go to Jin Ming instead of somewhere else after this? This is also related to the five elements. Among the five elements, spring belongs to wood, summer to fire, autumn to gold and north to water. Among them, autumn belongs to gold, and China has long said that spring is spring, summer is long, autumn is autumn, and winter is winter, so gold is harvest, and ringing gold is withdrawing troops.
Spring grows in summer and autumn grows in winter.
I don't know the meridian and the sun: a day is divided into twelve hours, the hour is 23:00- 1:00, the noon time is1:00-13: 00, the gross time is 5:00-7:00, and the unitary time is 650. Similarly, there are ugly children, which are the first four hours of the day, representing logic and organization. If you can't say ugly children, you can't say anything.
When and what to do is very particular.
Go to the toilet and go to the kitchen: in the five elements, the north is water and the south is fire, so when building houses in ancient times, the toilet was built in the north, the main row was unobstructed, and the kitchen was built in the south, which made the staple food healthy. Because there is a saying in China that goes north and goes south, and goes to the bathroom and goes to the kitchen. Nowadays, many people's houses are built wrong, so there will be many eating and pulling diseases.
Does anyone still build houses according to these rules?
Flattery: This word originated in Yuan Dynasty. People are on horseback, and horses play an important role in life. Will raising a horse represent a person's ability? So when we meet, if we see each other's horses are good, we will pat each other's horses, praise them and affirm each other's abilities. Entering the Central Plains, it became a class, reduced to the fourth class, and lived in dire straits. Some people learn this way of praising people for various reasons, and some people call it flattery when they don't like it.
Riding a horse
: A term derived from gambling. There are two cards called Baner and Wu Yao. Together, these two cards are the smallest card, so someone who spells this card will be laughed at, saying it won't work, and then it will gradually be misinterpreted as.
It is the fusion of multiple cultures.
Bragging: In the past, butchers would cut a small mouth on the hind legs of pigs and sheep to blow into their bodies for the convenience of skinning or depilation, but killing cows would not do so, because cows are too big to blow, so now there is a saying that blowing pigs and blowing sheep is not bragging. Bragging is not a dirty word, but it becomes a dirty word if someone deliberately adds cows to it.
Blowing sheep on the spot is much more difficult than blowing balloons.
Forget eight tails: Eight tails in Confucian culture refer to the eight principles that a person should abide by: filial piety, filial piety, loyalty, faithfulness, courtesy, righteousness, honesty and shame. Forgetting eight tails refers to forgetting the fundamentals of being a man and being unworthy of being a man, which was later wrongly called swearing.
Eight ends are the eight principles of being a man.
Cow hugging ears: Ancient people raised six kinds of animals, among which cows, sheep and tapirs were often used as the three animals at that time, and cows were the most expensive of the three animals. These three kinds of animals with cows are called Taian, and they are only used in the most solemn occasions. In ancient times, governors used the oath too quickly, and sometimes cut off the left ear of the cow to the leader, so that the oath on behalf of everyone would be heard. Therefore, holding the bull's ear is an ancient alliance ceremony, which now represents the recognition of human status.
Three animals are the most important, and the left ear listens to what it says.
Show the cloven foot: The ancients often used donkeys and horses as Kirin. Because the appearance of Kirin is a combination of dragon head, moose body, oxtail and horseshoe, people only dress up donkeys and horses, but not their hooves. It's called showing the cloven foot. Later, some people who didn't understand it took showing the cloven foot as a flaw. In fact, this is a misunderstanding, because Kirin's script is divided.
Kirin's script came as a clue.
Toilet: In ancient China, people went to the toilet. If it was inconvenient to go to the toilet, they had to use a dung bucket to solve it. This is the bucket word of the toilet. The word horse in the toilet has a history. Before the Tang Dynasty, people called the instruments used by human beings beasts, and they were made into the shapes of various animals. Tiger-shaped ones are particularly popular, because people think that tigers have the function of kings, and shit is a thing that tigers can follow, so tigers are popular. After the establishment of the Tang Dynasty, because Li Yuan's grandfather was called Li Hu, the court ordered him not to be called a tiger again in order to avoid his name, so people found an animal similar to the tiger and representing masculinity instead of the tiger, which is called a toilet. The origin of the word sloppy is also related to this. Nothing changes, and many people always make mistakes, which is called carelessness.
For men only, it's much better than a pulse bottle.
Bad luck: in fact, it should be bad luck, and bad luck is a rumor. In the Ming and Qing dynasties, when the literati failed to win the bid, they would stand a beam for them to show their praise. Therefore, there is an old saying, "Men build masts for famous trees, and women keep chastity and set up archways." Some families with candidates will hang the lintel before the candidates succeed in the exam to get a good omen, but in the end, if they fail in the exam, they can only put the lintel down, which is called bad luck.

I just gave a few examples above. There are numerous idioms and allusions in China's Chinese, which is one of the reasons why foreigners find Chinese difficult to learn.
Some people say that the profound Chinese culture belongs to some people, but I strongly disagree with this view. Chinese civilization is the only civilization in the world that has lasted for five thousand years. These 5,000-year-old civilizations are connected in series through the same culture, far from being comparable to other civilizations. For human beings, being born in China, being able to speak and write Chinese characters should be a kind of happiness, but now some people have changed their nationality, emigrated and become second-class citizens. What's more, they humiliated and belittled their own country, which really made people despise their ignorance, lament their ignorance, lament their misfortune, and anger them.
Welcome, comment and discuss.
The above is about whether the five elements of the horse character belong to gold or fire, and it is about the sharing of culture. After reading Tian Zi's taboos, I hope this will help everyone!
