Folklore of Wuwang Temple

More than 3,000 years ago, King Wu led a mighty army to defeat Zhou across the Yellow River from Mengjin. After a series of battles and victories, when he arrived in Huojia County, he was close to the edge of Muye in the southern suburbs of Chaoge and ordered his troops to set up camp. Huojia County was originally a territory in the southern suburbs of Yindu. It had fertile land and rich products. It was also the only way from Yindu to the surrounding areas. King Zhou once used it as an important military area. King Wu followed the people's will and raised troops to attack Zhou. Many small countries responded one after another. Even many princes under King Zhou's original jurisdiction sent troops to attack. League Mountain was originally a loess pile. Because it is located in a plain, surrounded by flat rivers, it appears to be towering and stands out from the crowd. Its shape is like a ball of dough falling on the ground, so people also call it "Pimple Mountain". When King Wu's soldiers and horses had just settled into the stronghold, they suddenly heard the report from the soldiers: "Pursuers have been found in the west!" King Wu climbed up to the mountain and took a look. Sure enough, he saw seven or eight plumes of smoke and dust rising from the west, a dense mass of people and horses, and military flags like Lin, fluttering in the wind, went straight towards the army of conquering Zhou. King Wu ordered a general to go and inspect, and ordered: "It's the Zhou army that has been completely wiped out. It's the friendly forces that treat each other with courtesy." After a while, the general came with eight men wearing swords on flying horses. It turned out that these were the leaders of the eight small kingdoms of Shu, Wei, Yong, Maoyang, Lu, Pu, Peng and Jiang, who personally led their troops to participate in the defeat of Zhou. Jiang Taigong counted on his fingers and said to King Wu: "Eight hundred princes, big and small, have gathered to participate in the war." King Wu said with great joy: "With the help of eight hundred princes, we will definitely win the battle against Zhou." King Wu met with the eight hundred princes on Goda Mountain. Form an alliance and plan to conquer Zhou. In order to demonstrate the determination of the alliance to defeat Zhou, the eight hundred princes each took their own soldiers and scattered handfuls of soil on the mountain. The small mountain was piled up into a large mound with a radius of several hundred acres and a height of five or six feet. , standing on it, you can see Muye in the east and Mengjin in the west. It was named "Tianmeng Mountain" at that time. After the victory over King Wu, in order to commemorate King Wu, people built the Temple of King Wu on the League Mountain and erected the merit arch. The place where he issued military orders was called "King Wu's Pointing General Platform", and the place where soldiers and horses were trained was called "Martial Arts Field". Since then, League Mountain has become one of the eight scenic spots in Huojia County with beautiful scenery, and is known as "League Sunset". There is a poem from the ancients that praises: The alliance of Yiyi rises and falls, the west wind looks back and the setting sun sets. The frosty leaves of a tree remain in the sunset, and several smokey villages are noisy with tomb crows. The wild color is vast and the road is lost, and there are people who are listening to the sound of flutes. At this moment, I was pregnant with Zhou Wu, and I could see the sunset in the sky.
