Article 2 provides that:

It has the qualification of a legal person and enjoys the autonomy to independently carry out economic activities according to law.

Article 5 provides that:
Farmers' professional cooperatives are registered in accordance with this law and obtain legal person status.
Farmers' professional cooperatives have the right to possess, use and dispose of members' contributions, provident funds, direct subsidies from the state finance, donations from others and other legally acquired properties, and assume liabilities for debts with the above-mentioned properties.
