What is the origin of the name Baotou?

Baotou is called "Baoketu" in Mongolian, which means a place with deer. Baotou has a long history. As early as the old China and Qin and Han Dynasties, this area was the border of the Central Plains. After the unification of the six countries, Qin Shihuang sent Meng Tian to lead 300,000 troops to attack the Xiongnu rulers in the north, forcing them to retreat more than 300 kilometers to the north.
