The purpose of the Catering Service Permit is to prove that you are qualified to engage in catering services. The premise of this license is that you have legal business qualifications. In the past, it was pre-licensing, that is, you had to apply for a business license before you could start business. Now the catering service license has become a post-license, that is, you can apply later or at the same time.

The Catering Service License, the business license of China catering industry, was officially put into use according to the Food Safety Law which came into effect on June 1 2009, replacing the Food Hygiene License which has been used for decades.
Materials to be submitted for catering license:
(1) An application for a catering service license;
(two) the name pre-approval certificate (a copy of the business license can be provided for those who have engaged in other businesses);
(3) A copy of the identity certificate of the legal representative (person in charge or owner);
(four) whether the directly responsible person in charge has proof of violation;
(five) certification materials of food safety management personnel trained by the food and drug supervision and administration department;
(six) the certificate of health examination and food safety knowledge training for catering service employees;
(seven) proof of the legitimate use of the house ownership certificate or lease agreement of the catering service place. The location of catering service places should meet the requirements (the location is more than 25m away from pollution sources such as cesspits, sewage ponds, open-air garbage dumps (stations) and dry toilets, and it is set outside the influence range of diffuse pollution sources such as dust, harmful gases and radioactive substances);
(eight) the location map, floor plan and equipment layout, processing flow, sanitary facilities and other schematic diagrams and descriptions of the catering service business premises (the total area of the business premises, the name and area of each functional room, the location of sanitary facilities such as cleaning and disinfection, the location of doors and windows, and the direction of people flow and logistics should be indicated);
(nine) rules and regulations to ensure food safety;
