Lanzhou Beef Lamian Noodles was founded by Chen Weijing in Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty. Legend has it that in the 1940s, a bearded official of Jiuquan Road in Lanzhou frequented the noodle restaurant of Mabaozi Hotpot Restaurant.
