According to the records of Lu 'an prefecture, Wangjiang Pagoda was built in the Song Dynasty, and its full name is Wangjiang Temple Pagoda. During the reign of Jiajing Xinmao in the Ming Dynasty (153 1), monks advocated the restoration of India. Anhui Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau listed the ancient buildings in the Southern Song Dynasty as provincial protection. Wangjianglou is a hexagonal original seven-level tower. The sixth floor and the south side of the tower were damaged by Japanese shelling in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. There are six floors, and the remaining height is 2 1 m. Each side of the first stage is 2.9 meters long, with a circumference of 17.4 meters and a height of 5.5 meters. There are doors on the north and south sides, and algae wells in the south tower room. They enter the tower from the north gate, with brick stairs and boards, and they can reach the top floor. The third floor faces west, the fourth floor faces north, the fifth floor faces east, and the sixth floor faces south, which is called the "worse gate". Visitors can enjoy the distance at the door of each floor. The sixth floor and the south side of the tower were damaged by Japanese shelling in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Before the maintenance in recent years, there was a pepper tree that had grown for decades at the top of the tower.
Wangjiang Tower and the nearby Suihe Tower used to be twin towers. When the stone dam was built in the 1970 s, the Suihe Tower was not damaged ... only Wangjiang Tower was left. 1998 was announced as the fourth batch of key cultural relics protection units in Anhui Province on May 4th.
