This is obviously another great miracle, but strangely, the Israeli people don't seem to think so. When they walked on and found that there was no water to drink, they went back to their original jobs and complained to God again. According to Moses' description of God in Exodus, they almost stoned Moses to death because there was no water to drink.
Some people say, since God can give them manna to eat out of thin air, can't he give them water to drink?
It is true that Li Er is such a truth, but the Israeli people deny it. From what the Israelites said to Moses, we can also see their thoughts. Instead of asking Moses, they asked him to intercede with God. But they said, Is God among us? If he is among us, why don't we have water to drink? Is he serious? Why did you bring us up from Egypt and let us, our children and livestock die of thirst here?
Do you think this is a person? In the hearts of these Israelites, God brought them out of Egypt to hurt them and make them die of thirst. If you were God, what would you think? Anyway, I want a thunder to kill these baiwenhang, so why take it so hard?
But God's mercy and love are much greater than ours. He told Moses that if you hit the rock on Horie Mountain with the stick that once opened the Red Sea, it would come out of the water. Moses did as God said, and sure enough, water flowed out of the rock. Now the people's coke is broken, and they are scrambling to jump on the water source, and they all have a big belly.
Looking at these noisy Israelis, Moses was thinking about another thing: this can't go on. These people still don't believe in God. I must teach them a lesson. So Moses named this place Martha, which means temptation; And he named this place Meribah, which means division.
In fact, at that time 3400 years ago, there were many uninhabited places on the earth. Moses took the Israelites from Egypt to Canaan and the United States. When he arrives, he doesn't just name a place, because they won't occupy it, and they won't go back there. It's no use naming it. But Moses insisted on giving this place a name, in fact, for future generations to see. Of course, for generations of Bible readers, let us remember that the Israelites once judged God and quarreled with Moses here. They once said here, Is God among us?
Therefore, the Bible later mentioned this place many times, telling us again and again how the Israelites tried and blamed God. This is their strong point, and they will continue to carry it forward in the future. This is nothing compared with the temptation and complaints in the future.
Some people compare Exodus to the course of human life, and the more you ponder, the more reasonable it becomes. Our life and life also encounter difficulties and problems again and again. God always takes care of his people. There is a saying in the Bible that everything works together for the benefit of those who love God, that is, those who are called according to his will.
But when the problems and dilemmas are solved, new challenges come again. God means that we can increase our confidence through the experience of being saved and helped by him, so as to cope with more and greater challenges. This is the growth of life.
So is Exodus. The two basic problems, water and food, have been solved easily, and what's more, it's even worse.
What? Maybe next time.
