No one would name their child like this.
Liu means Chinese and cannot be explained in Manchu. Therefore, adding a Chinese character name with a Manchu meaning to Liu would make him look neither fish nor fowl.
But Liu Haidongqing still conforms to the Chinese meaning.
You can name your son normally, and then give him a Manchu nickname (nickname). That is to say, fill in the formal name in the name column of the household registration book, and fill in the nickname with the previous name.
I don’t need to give you the formal name. I will just provide you with a few names with Manchu meanings:
Akton==means strong
Ba Tulu==The warrior is strong
Yeboken==Smart and decisive
Nadan==July
Yilan==March
Sally==Qumacai
Jileta==Shining
Don’t worry about the nicknames being unpleasant. The early Northeastern people thought that children with nicknames would be easier to support.
In this way, you can add your old Manchu surname in front of your Manchu nickname. If your old Manchu surname is Niu Hulu and your Manchu name is Aktun, the expression is:
niohuru akdun (Niu Hulu Akdun).
This is only reflected in writing. In fact, the Manchus do not use surnames at all when addressing each other, but only call each other by their first names.
