We all know Beijing Babao Mountain, so where does it come from?

We are all familiar with Babaoshan in Beijing. The Revolutionary Cemetery in Babaoshan is a key cultural relic protection unit in my country and is also the highest-standard garden-style cemetery in my country. Babaoshan is composed of two peaks. The highest point is more than 100 meters above sea level. Babaoshan is relatively gentle. It originated in the Ming Dynasty and was originally named Yanshou Temple. Later it was renamed Baozhonghuguo Temple. It was built during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The place where civil and military officials retired was later requisitioned and renamed Beijing Revolutionary Cemetery. In the 1970s, it was renamed Beijing Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery, and now Babaoshan People's Cemetery has been added.

During the Ming Dynasty, Babaoshan was built in memory of General Gang Bing. Gang Bing was originally a general of the Ming Dynasty, but later died for the country. In order to commemorate Gang Bing's achievements, Zhu Di built a temple in Xiazhuang at that time and named it "Xiaohuguo Temple". There is a tomb in front of the temple, and Gang Bing's armor is buried inside. On the monument is written: "The tomb of the founding father Gang Bing." Legend has it that some ashes were left at the place where Gang Bing died in battle. After it rained, the pile of furnace ashes turned into eight materials. These eight materials were horse stone, chalk, lime, red soil, crucible, yellow slurry, slate, and sandstone, so the people at that time called this place Go to Babao Mountain.

After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the Zhongling Pagoda was built as the Martyrs' Shrine in memory of General Zhang Zizhong and other 38 generals who died in the Anti-Japanese War. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery continued to expand. The designer of Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery is also a very powerful person, Ms. Lin Huiyin. And Lin Huiyin himself was buried in it.

In fact, there is a very interesting legend about the "Eight Treasures" of Babao Mountain. The old couple planted loofah and were deceived. They said they wanted to use the loofah to save their child's life, but in fact they wanted to get it from the mountain. There are eight kinds of treasures in the mountain, so it is also called Babao Mountain.
