The child was named Wuchang.

Wuchang fish is named after the Three Kingdoms. In the first year of Wudong Ganlu (AD 265), the last emperor Sun Hao wanted to move the capital from Jianye (Nanjing) to Wuchang. Lu Kai, the prime minister of the Zuo Dynasty, dissuaded him and quoted the two "single ballads" of "drinking Jianye water and not eating Wuchang fish". So Wuchang fish began to have a name. However, the Wuchang fish mentioned that day may not specifically refer to the bream, but among the fish produced in Wuchang, the bat fish is the most important, so it was later named Wuchang.

The origin of Wuchang fish is not Wuchang now, but Ezhou now, which was called "Wuchang" in the Three Kingdoms period. According to historical records, Sun Quan visited Hubei and found a hill dozens of miles south of the city, named Wuchang Mountain, hence the name Wuchang Mountain. It is in line with Sun Quan's intention to change Hubei to Wuchang, and he also found that there is a special kind of bream here, so he named it Wuchang fish. After Sun Quan made Wuchang his capital, he enjoyed Wuchang fish and gave it to the hero. It shows that the delicious Wuchang fish has been respected in the Three Kingdoms period. In the long and splendid history of fish culture in China, Wuchang fish is famous for its beautiful figure, mellow taste, rich nutrition and splendid culture.
