Which constellation is Pegasus?

Pegasus generally refers to Pegasus.

Pegasus is one of the northern constellations, located in the southwest of Andromeda and north of Aquarius. The most striking feature of Pegasus's star map is that its three stars, α, β and γ, and Andromeda's α star form an almost square, which is called "autumn quadrangle".

These four stars are all second-class except γ star, so this quadrangle stands out in the autumn sky without how bright star. The trapezium of Pegasus is the most dazzling star in the northern sky in autumn.

The myth and legend of Pegasus

In Greek mythology, after Poerxiusi killed Medusa, a flying horse jumped out of the blood ejected from her neck cavity.

This winged god horse immediately flew into the sky, and later it landed on Mount Helikon, where it created a spiritual spring, which later became the source of inspiration for the poet. Pegasus is the pet of the Muse.

Apollo invited Athena to help tame the horse, and later gave it to Bellerophon to travel on it. During a trip, Pegasus threw Bellerophon to his death, continued his journey alone, and finally reached the heaven and became a constellation.
