What taboos should be paid attention to when naming?

There are some taboos about children's naming. I hope you will pay attention to them, but they must be based on eight characters, aesthetic feeling and mathematics.

Irregular names are not smooth. When the baby is born, parents are most concerned about giving the child a good name. In order to give their children a good name, many people have racked their brains, read Ci Hai, read Tang poems and asked their friends, but the name they chose is not ideal. Naming, which seems easy, is actually difficult. The simple combination of two or three words contains many skills and methods. To make the name smooth, simple, profound and unforgettable, we should pay attention to the three principles of form, sound and meaning when naming. It's easier said than done, because there are many taboos in naming, which requires new parents to be careful everywhere and strive to nip in the bud. Now these common taboos in naming are summarized as follows:

1. Taboo the names of ancestors and sages, and generally avoid the names of ancestors. One is that the Han nationality traditionally stresses seniority. Taking ancestors' names as names not only disturbs the sorting of generations; And it will be regarded as the disrespect of ancestors. The second is due to the particularity of the Han nationality. The Chinese surname is first inherited from the stepfather's surname, and then given a personal name, while some ethnic minorities or foreigners have their own names, their father's names or their mother's and father's names. For example, the French name is usually three paragraphs, that is, the real name, the mother's surname and the father's surname. If the Chinese name inherits the father's surname and adds the ancestor's name, there will be no difference between the two, so you can't tell whether Li Si is a grandfather or a son at all. Under the feudal system, people should not only "respect ancestors and respect ancestors", but also regard them as the supreme. Even calling the monarch by his first name is a big violation. During Yongzheng and Qianlong periods in the Qing Dynasty, people could be punished with death and the nine clans were affected by this article alone. So this taboo is called "national taboo". But as far as modern people are concerned, only the name theory is concerned, and generally the names of great men and celebrities are not used. However, because some people revere a great man or celebrity, they deliberately take his name. For example, Li Dalin and Zhang Dazhao are named after Li Dazhao and Stalin. Of course, people who are surnamed Zhao and Guan should not be named as "Zilong" and "Yunchang", otherwise it will be indistinguishable from today.

2. It is forbidden to use unfamiliar names for communication, otherwise, names will lose their value of existence. Today's era is the era of computers, and the vast majority of Chinese characters stored in computers are limited to commonly used words. If some uncommon words are used in naming, which most people don't know, it must affect the communication between people. Using uncommon words in naming can only increase the difficulty and trouble of others' work in vain. The motivation for people to choose uncommon words when making names is actually very simple, just to be unconventional. But the commonly used words that people generally know are only three or four thousand words, and the naming is mainly for others to call, not to show off learning. Someone once said, for example, that when you apply for a job in a certain department, if the supervisor doesn't recognize your name after reading your resume, then the impression on you must be very vague. If he mispronounced your name when calling you and you corrected it, this scene may embarrass the leader. The leader will feel embarrassed or even angry because he has lost face, and you may feel contempt because the leader doesn't even know your name. In the process of getting along with superiors and subordinates in the future, some discord or disharmony may occur. Naming should avoid stereotypes and similarities, but it can't rely on the use of uncommon words. The use of uncommon words affects the image and hinders communication, which is not worth the loss. The number of Chinese characters in our country is very large, including 42, words and 174 words in Kangxi Dictionary alone. In addition, there are often very subtle differences among traditional and simplified characters, ancient and modern characters, and regular and popular characters. In the old days, people named it and liked to look through Kangxi Dictionary, which was not worth taking. We should use reference books, and the most ideal one is Modern Chinese Dictionary. It also includes words under each word, which is of great reference value for naming. Attention should also be paid to the use of this reference book, and the uncommon words in it should be avoided when using it.

3. Avoid the monotonous repetition of names and fonts. Some people name names and like to make a fuss about the physical structure of Chinese characters. For example, the names Shi, Lei, Lin, Sen, Nie and Er are examples. The aesthetic effect of this naming is quite good, but it is a pity that our surnames can be used so little. And even if Shi, Lin and Nie have three surnames, it is impossible for everyone to use this method. Some people, such as Li Ji and Zhang Chi, like to use the same radicals in their names, and promote this as a naming technique, which is actually not worth promoting. If the radicals of the three names are exactly the same, it will make people feel monotonous. Especially when you sign in calligraphy, you will feel more strongly that the names with the same radicals, such as Jiang Langtao and He Xinren, will have a dull and monotonous feeling no matter how they are arranged, and will not produce aesthetic effects such as casual, varied, tortuous and coherent. Since we use Chinese characters to name our names, we should not only consider the abstract beauty of elegance and refinement, but also pay attention to the varied image beauty when writing. The above examples show that there is a collocation problem between the first name and the last name. If the physical structure has not changed, the name will appear dull and stiff. In the past, there were two kinds of techniques in using glyph naming, one was to split the surname into the first name, and the other was to add the surname into the first name. The so-called split surname as the first name refers to the interception of a part of the name as the first name, or the division of the surname into two parts as the first name. For example, Yi Yin, the assistant minister of Shang Tang, took a part of the surname "Yin". In addition, Nie Er, a famous modern musician, Shu Sheyu (Lao She), Zhang Dagong, Ji Wuyan, Dong Qianli and Yang Muyi also belong to this category. In addition, Lei Yutian and He Renke also split their surnames into two parts as their first names. Some people in the ancients divided the name into characters, such as Xie Ao, a patriotic poet in the Southern Song Dynasty, whose character was Zhen Gaoyu, and the characters were separated from the name. In the Ming Dynasty, Zhang Yi's character Sanyi, Xu Fang's character Ark and Song Mei's character Wenyu, and in the Qing Dynasty, you Dong's character Tongren and Lin Ji's character Jiren all belong to this category. It is also like Mao Qiling in the Qing Dynasty. Others divide their names into numbers, such as Hu Jue's old man Gu Yue and Xu Wei's Shuiyuetian Road in the Qing Dynasty. The so-called name-adding refers to adding some strokes or radicals to the surname to form a new word, such as Lin Sen, Yu Xu, Jin Xin and Li Ji.

4. Avoid polyphonic words. Most surnames in China belong to monosyllabic words. There are also some surnames that belong to polyphonic characters, such as the word music. This kind of surname will obviously cause trouble in communication. If the polyphony of surnames is a helpless fact, then the drafting of names can completely avoid this trouble. There is a student named Lele in a certain place in Shandong province, but the teacher doesn't know how to call him in class. The teacher actually stumped by this name. The three words of this name are all polyphonic, and there are eight pronunciations. Readers can arrange them themselves if they are interested. It seems that this student's parents are deliberately against the whole society. A name actually has eight pronunciations. How to use it in communication situations? In the end, others dare not scream if they want to, lest they be laughed at if they scream wrong, and it is themselves who suffer. If others can't call, they can stop calling and avoid it. If a person's name is not called or used, what is the value of this name? Therefore, polyphonic words should be avoided as much as possible. If you want to use it, it is best to mark the pronunciation and reading by linking it into meaning. For example: Cui Letian and Meng Yuezhang. The former explains that "music" should be read as lè through "day", while the latter explains that "music" should be read as yè through "chapter". The last one tells you what to read with meaning. There are quite a few polyphonic words in Chinese that commonly use only one sound. When naming such polyphonic words, you don't have to worry about misunderstanding when using them.

5. avoid reading the word "around the mouth". Sometimes you can use the method of overlapping sounds. For example: Ding Ding, Fang Fang, Xin Xin, etc. If it is not a reduplicated name, the pronunciation method of the first name and the last name should be separated by a certain distance, otherwise, it will not read smoothly and will not achieve the desired effect. Some names are hard to read, and if they are not good, they will be mispronounced and misheard. The reason is that the name is awkward and almost becomes a tongue twister, such as Shen Jiji, Xia Ya I, Zhou Xiaochao, Geng Jingzhong, Jiang Jiaqiang, Zhang Changshang, Hu Chufu, Chen Yunlin and Fu Zhufu. Some of these names use two homonyms, such as Yayi and Jiang Jia. Some even use two homonyms, such as ji ji, Xia Ya, Xiao Chao, Hu Fu and Li Zhi. The former is disyllabic, and the latter is rhyming. Some three words have the same rhyme, such as Zhang Changshang, Hu Chufu, Chen Yunlin and Fu Zhufu. The so-called "roundabout" word mainly refers to disyllabic words, reduplicative words and homophones. Because the initials are the same, continuous pronunciation is laborious; It is also difficult to pronounce words with the same rhyme; Therefore, the double-tone rhyme is the main reason for "around the mouth". From this point of view, avoid using the word "awkward" to name, mainly refers to not using double-tone and overlapping rhyme words to name. It will be much easier to master this law. Naming that meets the standard of sound and beauty should be different groups of initials of first and last names and different types of finals. For example: Peng Tao, Feng Qi, Lou Yun, Qi Fei, Yu Sheng, Wan Hong, etc. These names, because of the different phonological groups of names and surnames, have changed their sounds and are easier to read. If the first name and surname belong to the same group, or even exactly the same, as long as the relationship between vowels is handled well, the effect is also very good; On the other hand, the first name and surname are the same, or even exactly the same, so it is necessary to work hard on the initials. For example: Peng Bin, Fan Feng, Loulin, Zhang Chen, Yu Kuan, Fang Chuan, etc.

6. Avoid reading indecent homophones. On the surface, some people's names are very elegant, but because they will sound the same or similar to other indecent words, they will easily arouse people's ridicule and banter, become people's jokes and produce some funny comedy effects. This kind of words can be divided into two categories: one is some idioms in life, the other is derogatory words. For example: Gong Anju (Public Security Bureau), Cai Dao (kitchen knife), Lu Hui (ashes), He Shang (monk), Tao Huayun (Peach Blossom), Li Zongtong (President Li), Tang Qiu (sugar ball), Bao Minhua (popcorn) and so on. The above homonym makes the name appear not serious enough and solemn enough, and it is easy to give people a laughing stock in public. In addition, some names are easily misunderstood as derogatory terms, such as Bai Yanliang (baiyanlang), Hu Lijing (fox) and Shen Jingbing (neuropathy). This homonym often becomes a nickname. If parents are not careful when naming names, it is easy to cause heavy psychological burden to their children. It will be too late to regret it then.

7. Words that are too fashionable are taboo. At any stage of history, there will always be some extremely fashionable words. If you chase such words when naming, it will inevitably make people feel that parents' cultural quality is poor, simplicity is vulgar, and such names are easy to repeat. The "founding of the People's Republic of China" in the 195s and "Weidong" in the 197s can be said to have spread all over the country. "Li Jianguo", "Ma Jianguo", "Chen Jianguo", "Wang Weidong", "Liu Weidong" and "Zhao Weidong" can be described as a thousand people. Due to the spread of political fanaticism, it was once the most fashionable thing to incorporate political colors into names. It is true that names do need to be decorated with colors, but the colors of names need to be colorful. It's too monotonous for everyone to chase fashionable words. This can't help but make people think deeply. Although China has a feudal history of thousands of years and pays attention to words such as "loyalty" and "filial piety", if the standard words are removed, the frequency of use of words such as "loyalty" and "filial piety" is not high. This shows that the ancients did not like to follow the fashion when naming. Confucian masters of past dynasties, those great Confucians who tried their best to instill "loyalty, filial piety and benevolence" into people, which one has the words "loyalty" and "filial piety" in its name? Confucius talked about "benevolence" all his life, but he named his son after the fish carp. Pursuing fashionable words in politics is only a sign of political naivety and superficiality. This is an extreme of chasing fashion. Second, people in China should not have a foreign name. The descendants of the Chinese nation are descendants of an ancient civilization. Our nation has its own ethics, aesthetic consciousness and cultural value, so we should not despise ourselves. Especially in naming, we should show that we should maintain national characteristics. Folk believe that it is sometimes fashionable to choose names that are close to westernization, such as John, Mary, Lisa, Anna, etc. However, in the future social changes and personal contacts, it may give the other party a psychological impression of contempt and unhappiness. Of course, this is a misunderstanding of different cultures, but this misunderstanding may also affect people's opportunities. It is not worthwhile to pay such a price for a name.

8. Whether the names of words that are forbidden to praise too much are good or not depends not on how gorgeous the words are, but on how well they are used. However, some people may make mistakes: naming boys is always inseparable from some overly aggressive words, such as Hao, Qiang, Yan, Meng, Chuang, Gang, etc. Although they are resolute and strong in reading, they are masculine, but they are also easy to make people think of being confused and unrestrained, making them willful and informal, and mistakenly think that they are some graceful. Because the culture of China thinks that my fortitude and strength are not those who are brave in words and emotions, but those who are brave in drawing a sword when something happens, but some great husbands who are not surprised or angry when something happens, laughing and laughing. Some people name girls but always beat around the bush in some words such as Chunlan, Qiuju, Pearl Krabs and Yanyan, but if they are put into a certain cultural atmosphere, they will make people feel floating. Such as flowers, ping, Yan, peach, willow and other words that women often like in their names. Although the flowers are pretty and bright for a while, they dominate the show and make a splash, but after the storm, they will fall into mud and grind into dust. Willow is also a soft and fragile thing. In the idiom, willow flowers, broken flowers and defeated willows show the emotional evaluation of the symbolic meaning of this thing. Peach blossoms are associated with the decline of beauty. Ping and Liu are both symbols of falling and parting. Therefore, it is believed in folklore that these seemingly bright words should be avoided when naming.

9. Most surnames are taboo against simple names. At present, there is a single name fever in Chinese names, and the biggest drawback of single names is that they cause a large number of duplicate names. Calculated by 4, Chinese characters, if all people use a single name, only 4, people can use a single name for a surname, and the 4,1st person will start to have the same name. In this way, the probability of duplicate names will inevitably increase greatly. On the contrary, although there are many people and few surnames in our country, if we adopt double names, if we avoid using fashionable words and cliches, the probability of duplicate names is very low. Judging from the aesthetic effect, double names have incomparable advantages, whether it is the collocation of glyphs, the harmony of pronunciation or the tempering of meaning, at least it has much more room for choice than single names. For a big country with a population of more than one billion, it is impossible to completely avoid duplicate names. Moreover, even if many small surnames have the same name, it doesn't matter much. For example, it is rare to have a Chu surname in a unit, and it is a miracle to have another person with the same name. The surname is not the case. "Zhang Wang, Li Zhao and Liu everywhere", if such a surname takes a single name again, it will cause a lot of duplicate names. People will notice that almost everyone who has the same name is the most common name. A unit has two "Liu Wei". If they are of the opposite sex, people will be commensurate with "male Liu Wei" and "female Liu Wei"; If they are of the same sex, they are distinguished by "big Liu Wei", "small Liu Wei" or "fat Liu Wei" and "thin Liu Wei". Instead of letting others add words at will, why not add another word and change it to a double name? In the current single name craze, the most popular name should not be hot, so it is better to take a two-word name calmly. As long as we give full play to the advantages of dual names, it is not difficult to choose an elegant and loud name. Generally speaking, the naming of small surnames
