About Manchu people surnamed Zhao

You should go to Essien Giro. At least, this is Luo Jueluo's surname.

It is said that "Jueluo" means "Zhao" in Manchu and is a descendant of the Song Dynasty.

There are many Manchu people surnamed Zhao. Among them, Ilgen Jueluo and Aisingiorro are the most popular surnames. One is Zhao Min, and the other is Huang Zhao or Guan Zhao.

Ilgen Jueluo clan changed its surname to Zhao a long time ago. As for the reason, I'm not sure. I remember asking at that time, but I can't remember now. It is not clear when Aisingiorro changed his surname to Zhao, but it was very popular during the Qianlong period. At that time, many children of the royal family called themselves Zhao Laoji, in order to emulate the Zhao Dynasty in the Song Dynasty and show their legitimacy in the Central Plains. Emperor Qianlong also wrote a letter to stop it, but he didn't stop it. This trend also spread to the people, and more and more people changed their old surnames to Zhao surnames. This is one of the reasons. The second reason is that many Manchu people have been sinicized for a long time in the Central Plains. So, I also changed my name to Chinese. Zhao is the first of hundreds of surnames, which is the easiest to think of, so many people choose it. The third reason is that after the Revolution of 1911, many Manchu people were excluded, even their survival was threatened, and they were forced to give them Chinese surnames. In desperation, many people took the Chinese surname according to the homonym of their old surname, and many people had no time to choose, so they took Zhao, the first of the hundred surnames, as their Chinese surname. In this way, Zhao became the most changed Han surname of Manchu people. Therefore, it is not easy to find Zhao's old surname.

In addition, there is a famous scholar in Taiwan Province Province who published such a view in his academic works about A Dream of Red Mansions. He thinks that Aisingiorro of Manchu is actually composed of two surnames, one is Jin () and the other is Zhao (Jueluo).

Maybe it's the other way around. I can't remember it after a long time. You can check it again when you have time. I remember, it seems to be related to the history of the Southern Song Dynasty and the Jin Dynasty. After the Southern Song Dynasty and the Jin Dynasty were wiped out by the Mongolian army, Nuzhen became a conquered nation, forced to remain anonymous, some returned to their native land in Northeast China, and some stayed in the Central Plains. Some take the transliteration of Jin and Zhao as their surnames, and this is Aisingiorro. Because of the age, the origin of surnames may not be described accurately, but I remember clearly the view that Aisingiorro is composed of two surnames, Jin and Zhao.

Emperor Qin Hui and his descendants, such as the late imperial clan ministers, were basically transformed into Hezhe nationality (Heijin ~ Qin Hui), and some of them were merged into 20,000 tribes of Woduolian and Huliguai, and moved to the south to settle down (now Huanren County, Liaoning Province), which was later called Dong 'abe. But they all take "Jueluo" as their surname and Zhao as their surname. Because it is your surname in the Central Plains, some jurchen also have the surname of Jue Luo ~ Zhao. Later, due to the different residence or situation of Zhujue Luo, it evolved into: Ilgen Jueluo, Ayan Jueluo, Shushu Jueluo, Glen Jueluo, Xilin Jueluo, Tong Yan Jueluo, Hulun Jueluo, Jia Mu Hu Jueluo, Aha Jueluo, irala Jueluo, Zaraquilo and so on. The first two (three) words of Zhu Jueluo are place names or identities, and the last two words are surnames, namely, Gashan and Hala. These Jue Luo ~ Zhao surnames all existed before "Aisingiorro".
