Wang Ye is the work of Wang Ji, a poet in the late Sui and early Tang Dynasties. This poem describes a quiet autumn scenery, with some hesitation, loneliness and depression in a leisurely mood. It is Wang Ji's masterpiece and the earliest five-character poem in the existing Tang poetry. The first couplet expresses emotions with the action of "leaning" and the psychological description of "as you wish"; Zhuan Xu writes about trees and mountains, which is serene and quiet; The verbs of "drive", "return", "belt" and "return" are used to describe dynamically in the neck couplet, so as to be dynamic and static; Couplets are lyrical by classics, and the scenes blend. The words used in the whole poem are natural and smooth, and the style is simple and fresh. It got rid of the frivolous and gorgeous poetic style in the early Tang Dynasty, and was unique in the poetic world at that time.
