Three parts are Wei, Shu and Wu. Why is the state of Wei called Cao Wei, the state of Wu called Sun Wu, but the state of Shu Han is not called Liu Shu?

Uncle Liu Huang started his business from scratch in troubled times and conquered the world. What is his slogan? "Anti-Han and Prosperous Liu", coupled with Liu Bei's bloodline from the Han Dynasty after Zhongshan King Jing, obviously wanted to re-establish the Han Dynasty with the Yang surname. As Liu Huangshu's identity, if he only wanted to separate the world in troubled times, then with Cao Cao, What is the difference between vassal states like Sun Quan? If he were called Liu Shu, it would be inconsistent with Uncle Liu Huang's banner. Uncle Liu Huang's banner couldn't be more unique, An Han Xing Liu. The reign name of others is Han, and Shu is just the name given by people based on their location.

However, compared with how easy it is to name Cao Wei and Sun Wu, it is obviously much more difficult to give Liu Bei a suitable name for his party. In 221 BC, Liu Bei ascended the throne in Chengdu and established the country as Han. However, from the pre-Qin period to the present day, Liu Bei's Han party was not called China's leader. If you call it a Han political party, it would obviously be a slap in the face of the pre-Qin Dynasty. Therefore, this political party was derogatorily called "Western Shu" because its main ruling area was in the Bashu region. This title is obviously not conducive to today's historical theory. After all, there were too many political parties established in Shu.

In the pre-Qin period, the ancient Shu Kingdom existed near Chengdu; during the Sixteen Kingdoms period, the Li family also established a foothold in Bashu; during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, there was also the establishment of the ancient Shu Kingdom by Wang Jian and Meng Zhixiang. Control the political parties of Shu. If it is called Liu Shu, the contrast is obviously weak. After all, the reign name has always been called Han instead of Shu.

If you return to the year of Han, you will find that there are many political parties with Han as their year in history. The Western Han Dynasty established by Liu Bang, the Eastern Han Dynasty established by Liu Xiu, Liu Xuan's reforming Han party during the Han Dynasty, Liu Penzi's founding Han party; the Han and Zhao regime established by the Huns Liu Yuan during the Sixteen Kingdoms period, and the Di people Li Xiong The Chenghan political parties established by Liu Zhiyuan during the Five Dynasties, the Northern Han political parties established by Liu Chong, and the Southern Han political parties established by Liu Yu; there were even the political parties of Xing Gao in the late Northern Wei Dynasty, Hao Ding in the late Jin Dynasty, and Chen Youliang in the late Yuan Dynasty. The reign names are all Han.

In the history of China, there have been at least 10 political parties named Han, and among them there are as many as 8 Li-Han political parties. The Cao family established only one Wei state, and the Wu family had no other semicolon in the Wu state, so no one could compete with him for the name. But if Liu Bei's political party is called Liu Han, then Liu Bang, Liu Xiu, Liu Xuan, Liu Penzi, Liu Yuan, Liu Zhiyuan, and Liu Chong will all express dissatisfaction. What's more, Liu Bang, Liu Xiu and Liu Bei are of the same origin. Before the liberation of the Han Dynasty, how could Liu Bei's Ji Han Party have the honor to be called Liu Han? If Shu is not good and Han is not good, then how about combining them together and calling them Shu and Han? In fact, there are still differences in this title.

Due to the Cheng Han Dynasty during the Sixteen Kingdoms period, the reign name was also called Han. The key areas in power were all Bashu, and the capital of Beijing was Chengdu. But Haolai is still a little different. When Li Xiong founded the political party, he was first called the King of Chengdu. Later, after he ascended the throne after the founding of the People's Republic of China, he was called "Cheng" or "Dade", which means a political party centered in Chengdu. Later, when Li Shou usurped the throne, he changed the reign name to "Han".

Okay, at least Liu Bei’s friends insisted on using "Han" as the reign name from the beginning, so Liu Bei’s party won the priority of Shu Han as the title sponsor, and the Li family of the Di ethnic group The family's political party was called Cheng Han, just like Liu Yuan's political party was called Han Zhao.

In short, the principle of naming a historical political party is to be as targeted as possible and as non-confrontational as possible. Compared with the titles Liu Shu and Ji Han, only Shu Han is the most consistent with this principle. As the agreement became a custom, it was later called Shu Han. We all know, oh, it was the political party founded by Liu Bei. Therefore, Shu Han was fixed in this way.
