The rules of typhoon naming

In fact, the name of typhoon is arranged in advance, because the name of typhoon is limited to tropical cyclones generated in the Western Pacific, so its name is chosen from 14 countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Each member has 10 names, totaling 140 names. These names are the typhoon name database currently in use, and these 140 names will be named sequentially after the typhoon is generated.

Of course, typhoon names are not always in the name database. Typhoons that cause great harm to people's lives and property will be cleared. For example, the super typhoon "Sangmei" in 2006 caused many casualties and was later cleared. "Sangmei" was removed and replaced by "Mountain God" which had just landed in Hainan. In other words, if "Sangmei" had not caused a lot of damage and killed so many people, he would not have been cleared.
