Fan Zeng and Fan Zeng are not the same person.
Fan Zeng, also known as Shiyi, was born in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. He is a contemporary Chinese Confucian scholar, thinker, master of traditional Chinese culture, master of calligraphy and painting, writer and poet.
Fan Zeng (277 BC - 204 BC) was a native of Juhuan. He was Xiang Yu's main adviser in the Peasants' War at the end of Qin Dynasty, and was respected as "Yafu" by Xiang Yu. In 206 BC (the first year of Han Dynasty), Fan Zeng followed Xiang Yu into Guanzhong and persuaded Xiang Yu to eliminate Liu Bang's forces, but was not adopted.

Fan Zeng’s personal experience:
In 1938, Fan Zeng was born in Nantong, Jiangsu, into a family of thirteen generations of poets and writers. In 1938, in order to avoid the Japanese invasion Hua lives in Chaoqiao, a village outside Nantong City.
In 1942, he entered Chengbei Primary School kindergarten at the age of 4. Nantong Children's Intelligence Competition, recited "Yueyang Tower" and "Mulan Ci", and composed short poems of his own, and won the first place in the special prize. In 1943, he entered Chengbei Primary School at the age of 5.

Fan Zeng is from Juhuan, he is usually at home and he likes to come up with surprises. Chen Sheng was seventy years old when he revolted in Daze Township. Soon, Xiang Liang led his troops from Kuaiji to cross the river to the west and became the main force in the anti-Qin struggle. Fan Zeng went to join him, hoping to contribute his wisdom to the anti-Qin cause in his lifetime.
In 208 BC, Qin general Zhang Han defeated the Chu army in Dingtao, killed Xiang Liang, and then crossed the river to attack Zhao. King Huai of Chu appointed Song Yi as the top general, Xiang Yu as the Duke of Lu, as the second general, and Fan Zeng as the last general, and sent troops to rescue Zhao. Soon, Xiang Yu killed Song Yi and took control of the military and political power.
