When many parents are naming their babies, they are interested in knowing how many people in the country have the same name. They hope that the baby’s name will not be the same as too many people. Or some people just want to know how many people across the country have the same name and surname as them, so how do they perform a duplicate name query?
The public security agency officially provides an online query system for the number of people with the same name or the same surname in China (see the end of the article for the query entry).
Query method:
Enter the guidance page of the Chinese Public Security Bureau’s query system with the same name and click “Query the number of people with the same name”.
In the pop-up window, select "Nationwide" and click the "Confirm" button.
At this time, the login interface will pop up. You cannot query without logging in. Assuming you have registered before, you can log in by filling in your ID number or mobile phone number, password, and verification code. If you have not registered an account before, click "User Registration".
After clicking "User Registration", go to the "Personal Registration" page and enter relevant information as required, such as ID number, user name, mobile phone number, login password, etc. (* is a required item).
After completing the filling, click "Register".
Then, real-name authentication is required. Only after real-name authentication is completed, the registration is considered successful.
After completing the registration, log in with the account you just registered. After logging in, click "Check the number of people with the same name" mentioned at the beginning of the article to enter the Chinese same name query system.
Enter the name you want to check, select the gender, fill in the verification code, and click OK to get the result.
Below are the results I got from randomly looking up a name.
The country has a large population, but common words are limited, so it is inevitable to have the same name. A name is just a code name for people to address. If you deliberately choose some uncommon words in order to avoid repeating the name, it will be a small loss, and even bring all kinds of inconveniences. Just imagine the embarrassment of others wanting to say your name but not knowing how to pronounce it, or wanting to write your name but not knowing how to write it. Therefore, when choosing names, it is not necessary to have absolutely different names. As long as the names are relatively different, it is fine. For example, if they do not encounter each other that often and there is no overlap among relatives and friends, it is enough.
