This sentence comes from the epitaph of Princess Taiping sealed by Shangguan Waner. The original text is: Xiaoxiang water is broken, Wan Wei mountain is inclined, the pearl is round, and the jade is broken. Just look at the pine trees, listen to the graves, long live the Millennium, and sing the praises of Zanthoxylum bungeanum.
Now that the Qing Dynasty is far away, the world is eclipsed. I'm afraid what I can do in the future is to sit in front of your grave and watch tea trees. Maybe when I stand in the grave, I can hear your voice again. But after all, this is a delusion, a quiet grave, no jade, and an empty dead place. I hope someone will remember you like me after 1000 years and 10000 years.
Creation background
Historically, Shangguan Waner and Princess Taiping did not intersect. Until Shangguan Waner's epitaph was unearthed, two strange girls also had a sisterhood of caring for each other. Epitaph refers to the stone carving engraved with the life story of the deceased in the tomb, which is divided into two layers, the upper layer is the cover, the lower layer is the bottom layer, and the bottom layer is engraved with epitaph. Epitaph consists of preface and inscription. The preface introduces life and lineage. And the inscription is mainly to evaluate the owner of the tomb, mostly praise words, written in four-character poems.
Shangguan Waner's 982-word epitaph subverts the record of Shangguan Waner in history books, and also reveals her close relationship with Princess Taiping.
