Namology originates from the philosophical thought of our ancestors and is the quintessence of our country. Confucius said: "The name is just and right" is a simple sentence, but its meaning already implies the importance of people's names. There is a famous saying in ancient times: "Whatever has a name must have reality, and the name is the guest of reality." In the book "Shuowen", the meaning of the precept is "named" and "ming" is named by itself. In ancient times, although many scholars studied numerology, they only studied the meaning of words and did not develop them, let alone the "Yi". Later, although officials of various generations added supplements and detailed explanations, they were not taken seriously and were used only as fortune-telling methods among the people. This style spread to Japan and gradually became popular. By the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century, Japan's Kumazaki Takeo established nomology as a systematic system and called it "Holy Science". It is the name of Chinese nomenclature. The students who studied this study were given the student title of "Shengsheng". After that, this trend spread to Singapore, Macau, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea and other places, and gradually spread to Northeast my country and became today's nomenclature.
"The New Edition of Onomology" was co-edited by contemporary Chinese scholars Fang Yang and Gao Shan, becoming the most comprehensive monograph on onomology
