The Wild Child Band was founded in 1995 and consists of Zhang Quan, the lead singer and guitarist, Guo Long, the accordionist, Ma Xuesong, the guitarist, Wang Guoxu, the tambourine, and Wu Rui, the percussionist.
In August 2000, he gave a special performance at the "Zangku" bar in Beijing and recorded his first live performance CD "IN THE LOFT". In 2014, he signed with Tree Music; in the same year, he released his second album "Equal Road".
In February 1995, the Wild Child Band was formed in Hangzhou with two members, Zhang Quan and Xiao Suo. In May of the same year, they returned to Lanzhou, their birthplace, and spent nearly a year conducting research on northwest folk music. An investigation was carried out, which included walking along the Yellow River from Yan'an to Inner Mongolia, and conducting a series of creative activities.
