Why is Nanchong called "Fruit City"?

Guocheng is the abbreviation of Nanchong City, the second largest city in Sichuan Province, and is also known as Guozhou. Nanchong has been inhabited by ancestors since the Neolithic Age. The Xia Dynasty was a country of "Youguo clan", the Yin and Shang Dynasties belonged to the Ba Kingdom, and the Zhou Dynasty was a territory of the Bazi Kingdom. During the Warring States Period, around AD 330, the capital of the Bazi Kingdom moved to Langzhong. In the ninth year of the Qin Dynasty, King Huiwen of Qin Dynasty destroyed Ba. In the eleventh year of the Qin Dynasty, Langzhong County was placed under the jurisdiction of Ba County (today's Chongqing City). During the Warring States Period, the Qin State destroyed Shu and Ba, respectively, and established Shu Commandery and Ba Commandery respectively. Nanchong belonged to Ba Commandery.
