1. Lian Yang Wu Ferry
Lian Yang is the Lotus Ocean, located between Zhoushan Island and Putuo Mountain in the north. It is connected to the Yellow Ocean and to the south is Puchen Waterway. It is named after the legend that the Japanese wanted to welcome the Guanyin statue back home, but the manatee and iron lotus blocked the crossing. The Chronicle of Dinghai County written by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty quoted the Chronicle of Putuo as saying: "In the Fengzhong period of the Song and Yuan Dynasties, the Hou Yi people paid tribute and saw strange things in the land. They wanted to take them to their own country. Iron lotus flowers grew in the sea and the boat could not move. The Japanese were afraid and returned them, hence the name. ”
The Lotus Ocean is the only way to climb Putuo Mountain to offer incense. When a passenger's ship sails to the ocean, if you catch the morning tide, you can see the waves on the ocean surface rising slightly, like thousands of lotus flowers undulating in the wind, which is refreshing and thought-provoking. This is the first scene you will see when visiting Mount Putuo - Lianyang Wudu. Of course, if there is a windy day, the waves will roll over and the sea will be rough, creating another extremely spectacular scenery. A fisherman once sang: "There are strong winds and waves in the Lotus Ocean, and lotuses rise on the windless sea. A lotus blooms ten miles away, and its petals are as sharp as wolf teeth." However, most days in the Lotus Ocean are calm, and passengers can be at peace on the ship. Gazing at the beautiful scenery on the Lotus Ocean, you may feel as if you are about to reach a Buddhist holy land.
The scenery of Lianyang Wudu has been sung by literati who visited Putuo Mountain in the past, and a large number of poems have been handed down. He admires the scenery of Lianyang Wudu and expresses the author's joyful mood after experiencing Lianyang.
2. Tuangu Holy Relics
After entering the Buddha Mountain Gate, about 3 ho meters to the southeast, you will find Tuangu Taoistou. This place used to be a beach in the old days. There are "more than ten meters wide and a hundred meters long, with small rocks attached to each other, and rocks of different sizes and shapes staggered on both sides." Some of the rocks are engraved with "Tuangu Ancient Ruins" and so on. The words appear in the tidal waves and become a natural dock in the old days. The boat arrived at Tuangu Road, but it couldn't reach the shore, so it had to be ferried on a small sampan, which was no more than one foot long and no more than three feet wide. In the 31st year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1905), two monks, Yu and Lian Chan, the abbots of Putuo Mountain, raised funds to use huge stones to build an 11-meter-wide and 8-meter-wide stone path. . Before the Putuo Mountain Passenger Terminal was built, all those who came to Putuo Mountain for pilgrimage, incense and sightseeing had to land here. Although there is a passenger terminal now, tourists still fall in love with this first scenic spot in the famous Putuo Mountain.
According to legend, a sister-in-law made a vow to worship Buddha. A few years later, they pooled their money to buy a boat and sailed across the Lotus Ocean to pay incense to the mountains. The boat had just docked at the end of the road, but unfortunately, the sister-in-law's "Tiangui" tide came. She felt unclean and did not dare to get off the boat. Enter the mountains. Her sister-in-law thought that she would not be blessed with a pilgrimage, so she asked her to wait for her in the boat, and she went to the mountain to worship Buddha alone in despair. Unexpectedly, it was almost noon, the tide rose sharply, and the boat was separated from the shore. My sister-in-law sat in the boat for a long time, hungry and unable to eat, and was very puzzled. At this moment, I saw what looked like a village woman carrying a food box to the shore. While throwing some stones into the tide, she stepped on these stones and raced straight to her sister-in-law's boat. She said that her sister-in-law asked her to bring them here. , put down the food box and left the ship. Not long after, his sister-in-law came back from offering incense and asked about the past. My mother was shocked. She suddenly remembered that when she was worshiping Buddha, she looked up at the lotus seat and saw a piece of Guanyin's clothes wet. She suddenly realized that this was the Buddha's name. Therefore, I was so busy that I went into the mountain to kowtow before Guanyin again. Because her sister-in-law once "cut off her aunt" at the dock, from then on, the place where her sister-in-law was in Bozhou was called "Short-aunt Road Head". The stones beside the road head are scattered in the tide, and it is said that they are sent by the emperor to send food. The stones thrown into the tide for stamping on were hence called the "Tugu Holy Relics".
3. Spring Dawn in Meiwan Bay
Spring Dawn in the Bay refers to the early spring scenery of Putuo Mountain. Mount Putuo is also called Meicen, because the mountain bay to the west is called Meiwan, and it is also called Qian. Bay. It is said that there are many wild plums here, and there are many monks in nunneries and tents who are good at raising plums. Yi Xing. Every early spring, when spring returns to the human land, wild plums bloom in the mountains, filling the valley with fragrance, and the green mountains and trees are reflected with dots of red spots. It is such a beautiful scenery that it was once known as the "Luofu on the Sea". In this season, every day when the sun is calm and there is no wind, I stand on the top of the West Mountain; overlooking the Lotus Ocean, I can see fishing boats racing, gulls gathering, the waves in the sea shining brightly, and the green mountains outside the mountains, layer upon layer of green, so beautiful. . If it's a moonlit night, the branches will be sparse and the moon is pale, the islands and reefs will be hazy, and the fragrance will be astounding, making it even more intoxicating.
In the spring when everything is renewed, literati who have never visited the famous Putuo Mountain in the South China Sea are moved by the scenery. Due to the change of seasons, they are associated with the passage of time, so they are nostalgic for the past, obsessed with the present, sentimental, and sad.
4. Pantuo Sunset
"Panda Sunset" refers to the evening scenery around Pantuo Rock.
Not far from Meifuan to the west, you can see Pantuo Stone. The Pantuo Stone is made up of two upper and lower stones. The lower one is a huge stone with a wide base and a pointed top. It is more than 20 meters wide in circumference. The bulge in the middle supports the upper stone, which is called Pan. Nearly 7 meters, in the shape of a rhombus, called Tuo. The gap at the joint between the upper and lower stones is like a line, which is bright and clear, as if they are connected but not connected, as if one stone is hanging in the air on top of the other. According to legend, someone once pulled a string and cut it across, which can prove that the two stones are not connected, but all those who tried in the future were successful. Pantuo Rock is as dangerous as a rolling egg. If you stand in front of it, you may worry that a strong wind will blow the boulder down. But it is as stable as a plate, untouched for hundreds of millions of years, and unshakable for thousands of calamities. The two stones will always be so dependent on each other. The top of Banduo Rock is flat. It is common for twenty or thirty tourists to play on the top, but it does not move at all. It is really an incredible wonder.
It is said that the Pantuo Stone is the place where Guanyin preached the Dharma. On the stone there are "Panda Stone" (Hou Jigao's book), "The Great Earth Dharma Place", "Diamond Gemstone", "Western Heaven", "Tianxia No. There are inscriptions such as "One Stone". There are stone steps carved on Pantuo Stone, which can be climbed to the top of the stone. Whenever the sun sets, the stone is covered with gold and shines brightly. If people can climb to the top of the stone at this time, Looking around the mountains and sea, the vast and magnificent scenery, "Panda Sunset", has become one of the great wonders of Mount Putuo.
There are many allusions and interesting things about Pantuo Stone. It is said that "Journey to the West". The "Western Heaven" in "A Dream of Red Mansions" is located here, and the "psychic gem" in "A Dream of Red Mansions" is very similar to the "diamond gem" here. Therefore, many TV and movie dramas have been filmed here in modern times, and many women have made pilgrimages here. When climbing on this stone, take the metal money plate you brought and polish it on the stone, take it home and hang it on your children and grandchildren to "empower your courage" and "dispel disasters"
5. Night Moon in the Lotus Pond.
"Lotus Pond Night Moon" refers to the moonlit night scenery of Haiyin Pond. Haiyin Pond is located in front of the mountain gate of Puji Temple. It is also called "Release Pond" and "Lotus Pond". It was originally a Buddhist temple. The pond where believers release animals is later planted with lotus flowers, which is called the "Lotus Pond".
"Haiyin" is the name of the Samadhi that the Buddha obtained. Just like the sea, it can image all things, and the Buddha's sea of ??wisdom is clear and clear. The Haiyin Pool covers an area of ??about 15 acres and was built in the Ming Dynasty. There are three stone bridges on the pool, the middle one is called the Ping Bridge; it is connected to the Zhongshan Gate of Puji Temple in the north, and has an octagonal pavilion in the middle and an imperial stele pavilion in the south. The Xiebei Pavilion, the Bajiao Pavilion and the ancient Puji Temple are built on the same central axis. The ancient stone bridge lies across the water, and in the distance stands a majestic and beautiful temple, which is really like a human palace and a fairyland. ! The axis divides the pond into two, becoming the East and West Lotus Pond. There are antique stone fences around it.
The lotus field is surrounded by mountains on three sides, and the water in the pond is accumulated by mountain springs and is as clear as jade. . Whenever it is midsummer, the fields of lotus leaves and lotus pavilions in the pond are reflected in the reflections of ancient trees, Sanskrit characters, arch bridges and pagodas, forming a very beautiful picture here on a summer moonlit night, or the wind is calm and the sky is bright. Reflecting the pond; or the gentle breeze and the fragrance of lotus, it is a beautiful scenery that makes people forget to leave.
The lotus is called lotus in Buddhism and is a symbol of purity and purity. It is called the "Lian Kingdom" and believes that the people in that land always live in lotus flowers. It is believed that all living beings have "Buddha nature", but they are troubled by the troubles of life and death and do not reveal their Buddha nature, so they are still trapped in the troubles of life and death. In the sludge, the lotus is "untainted by the mud, clear but not evil", so Buddhism uses the lotus as a metaphor for "Buddha nature". Meng Haoran, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, wrote a poem in "Yi Gong Attached to Dayu Temple": "Only when you see the lotus flower is pure can you know that your heart is not stained." Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is the "Lotus Master" who saves all sentient beings from being reborn in the Lotus Kingdom. Therefore, Haiyin Pond is naturally connected with Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. When literati in the past dynasties viewed the lotus pond landscape, they often combined their imitation of the scenery with their own understanding of the Buddha.
6. Fahua Ling Cave
It is under the East Gate of Jibaoling. Turn left at the flood rafting house and climb the path up the stairs. After passing the ancient thatched awning (now a private house), you will find the "Fahua Ling Cave", one of the twelve scenic spots in Putuo. Here, huge boulders are stacked on top of each other to form several caves. Ten places: some are carved with space and can be walked through; some are as wide as a room, with stone statues in the middle; some are cut at the top and cut down at the bottom, with springs trickling out and flowing out from the stone rims to form pools. Although there are many caves in Mount Putuo , there are many surprises, but this one is the most impressive. There are inscriptions such as "Qingda Blessed Land", "Putuo Rock", and "Southeast Pillar" outside the cave.
Don't ignore the Fahua Cave when visiting Putuo Mountain. Strange landscape.
The predecessors believed that even if the scenery is chosen, the Lotus is the best. For example, Chen Hongchen of the Ming Dynasty wrote a poem: "When traveling in the mountains, you must choose the peaks, and the peaks must be perfect. I wonder which place is better, the Lotus is the most unique."
7. Chaoyin Cave in the Ancient Cave
Chaoyin Cave is located in front of Zizhulin Temple in the southeast of the island. It is not willing to go to the sea of ????people under the Guanyin Temple. The cave is half submerged in the sea, about 30 meters deep, and about 10 meters deep from the cliff to the bottom of the cave. The coast here is zigzag, with rugged cliffs and layers of strange rocks. The bottom of the cave opens to the sea, and there are two gaps at the top, called skylights. In the 32nd year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1699), the imperial inscription "Chaoyin Cave" was written on the cave wall.
The entrance of Chaoyin Cave faces the sea and looks like an open mouth. It is beaten by the waves day and night, and the tide rushes into the cave entrance with the force of a flying dragon and the sound of thunder. If there is a strong wind, the waves will splash and the foam will rush directly to the "skylight". On a sunny day, colorful rainbows appear in the cave, which is a wonder.
According to records, during the Song and Yuan Dynasties, pilgrims who came to Putuo to make pilgrimages to Mount Putuo mostly prayed for Bodhisattva’s appearance and blessing in front of Chaoyin Cave. After the Ming Dynasty, people often went to Fanyin Cave to kowtow and pray for the appearance of Guanyin. Among the pilgrims, there are often those who jump off the cliff and die in order to be reborn in the Western Paradise. In the Qing Dynasty, the phenomenon of "sacrifice of one's body" became more and more intense, so Ying Sui, the magistrate of Dinghai County, built a pavilion on the shore and wrote the "Precepts of Sacrifice of One's Own Life" to erect a monument to forbid self-sacrifice.
8. The rising sun
After passing the Immortal Well, I climbed up Jibaoling Ridge and looked east. I saw a rock on the hill slanting like an elephant. I stretched my nose and raised my eyes to look at the East China Sea. This is Elephant Rock. On the upper side of the Elephant Rock, there is still a tame rabbit-like Rabbit Rock. To the east of Xiangyan, facing the sea, the road turns and steps down, and there is a natural cave, which is no more than ten feet wide, but deep and deep. Outside the cave, there are jagged boulders and a sea of ??people. The cave faces the east ocean, with hundreds of steps of sand and thousands of steps of sand on the left and right. Whenever it's a sunny day, you can watch the sunrise and sea view here in the early morning. The scenery is magnificent and breathtaking. The rising sun is "as huge as a wheel, as red as red sand, and suddenly rises from the bottom of the sea. Thousands of ocher rays scatter the sea water, and it is hard to imagine that it has ever dazzled the mind before." So people named it "Chaoyang Cave" and wrote "Chaoyang Cave". "Sun" is listed as one of the twelve scenic spots in Putuo. To see the sunrise in Mount Putuo, take Chaoyang Cave first.
Chaoyang Cave is also a good place to listen to Chaoyin. There was originally Chaoyang Nunnery on Chaoyang Cave. According to books, when you are in this nunnery, the waves roaring below you are like the symphony of thousands of kinds of music, which is very interesting. The writer Wang Luyan and his wife once stayed with Yu Dafu in the former Chaoyang Nunnery and wrote an essay called "The Story of Listening to the Chaoyang". They described the Chaoyang sound here as follows: "...such as the sound of war drums, golden gongs, shouts, and shouts. The sound of trumpets, cries, horses' hooves, wheels, and wings are mixed together, like thousands of troops fighting..." Yu Dafu also wrote in the poem: "The snow waves hit the Lingqiu stone angrily, washing away all the silk and bamboo in the world. Sound. "Chaoyang Dong'an was destroyed in the early years of the Republic of China, and Guanri Pavilion was built on the original site in 1992. Today's Chaoyang Cave scenery includes Chaoyang Cave, Guanri Pavilion, Lanxia Pavilion, Liuguan Pavilion, etc., with a teahouse attached. shopping mall. The antique Guanri Pavilion, also known as Chaoyang Pavilion, is built on the fourth floor of Chaoyang Cave, close to the vast sea, with raised eaves and corners, and is magnificent. The pavilion is 18 meters high, 12 meters long and 12 meters wide. It rises against the mountain and is spectacular. The pavilion is divided into three floors: upper, middle and lower, with three halls for shopping, resting and sea-viewing. Portraits of "Thirty-two Guanyin" are displayed on the surrounding walls, with smooth lines and vivid images. The root carving art gallery is located on the middle and lower floors, displaying more than a hundred large and small root carvings of Guanyin Buddha, which is a unique new addition to the Haitian Buddhist Kingdom. When you climb up to the pavilion and look out at the East China Sea, the scenery is even better.
Tanxia Pavilion, also known as Chaoyang Pavilion, is built on the left platform of Chaoyang Cave, near the cliff and the sea. Whenever the sun rises in the east, the rosy glow shines and the scenery is wonderful.
9. Qianbu Jinsha
Qianbu Jinsha, commonly known as Qianbu Sand, is located on the eastern coast of Putuo Mountain, starting from Jishi Ridge in the south to Wanghai Pavilion in the northeast. A road along the mountain on the east side of Mount Putuo is called "Yutang Street". On the right side of the street is Qianbusha, and to the south across Chaoyang is Baibusha. The Qianbusha Changmen is more than 70 meters long and is named after its length of nearly a thousand steps.
Thousands of steps on the golden sand, the color of the sand is like gold, pure and soft, broad and soft, just like a banquet set up with brocade leaves. People walk on it without getting wet or sinking. The waves here are anchored day and night, and the sound of the waves is endless. The waves play in the sand, coming like a waterfall and ending like a drag. Whenever there are strong winds and waves, the thunder turns into snow, which is heartbreaking. When you are wandering, it is especially strange and the strange landscape is indescribable. Thousand Steps has gentle sandy slopes, a wide sea surface, and no rocks or reefs in the water, so it is often favored by swimmers. For tourists who come in summer, be sure not to miss this view, or after a mountain tour, walk barefoot on it and let the waves caress your feet. Imagine. Or sit quietly on the beach for a while and listen to the sound of the tide.
Or simply put on a swimsuit and jump into the waves of the Buddha Sea, which will keep you cool. When you float in the embrace of the blue sea, your body and mind may slowly blend with the sea. At this time, you may feel that you are the sea and the sea is you...
Qianbu Jinsha is not only beautiful during the day, but every moonlit night, with the gentle breeze and the sound of waves, the quiet scenery is even more poetic. Therefore, some people once called it, together with the magnificent rising sun, the view of Xituo Mountain.
In order to enable more tourists to enjoy the scenery of Buddhism and enjoy the beach. The Putuo Mountain Management Bureau has launched a new tourist line with Chaoyang Cave, Baibu Sand and Qianbu Sand as the leading features, with sea views and playing in the sea as the main features. It has built four 5,500-square-meter tourist routes at the Qianbu Sand Recreation Center and Lichuan Beach. meters of leisure pool, purchased bumper boats, raised more than 6,000 red and yellow goldfish in the leisure pool, introduced many square pigeons and put them in the " Manila” lawn for tourists to watch and taste. Newly opened "Motor Boat". There are various activities such as "traction skydiving", a new rental shower room of 200 square meters has been built, more than ten high-speed yachts have been purchased, and Baibusha and Qianbusha sea yacht tour projects have been launched. 10. Guangxi Snow Ji
Guangxi Peak is located in the southeast of Foding Mountain. It is also known as "Lotus Stone Flower" and "Stone House". Looking from a distance, among the emerald green bushes, the peaks and rocks are towering and beautiful, like lotus flowers and snow-covered peaks.
"Guangxi Snow Ji" refers to the scenery after snow at Guangxi Peak, which is one of the twelve major landscapes in Putuo. It rarely snows in Mount Putuo, making winter seem peaceful and magical. But if you are lucky and catch a heavy snowfall, you can climb Foding Mountain and overlook Guangxi Peak. It will look like it is made of jasper and covered with silver. Thousands of pear trees are in bloom. The mountains are mixed together, and the sea is low and frozen. The clouds are level. At this moment and this scene, you will feel that your heart is pure and pure, as if you are in the pure white and stain-free pure land of the Buddha, and it is extremely comfortable.
The snow scene of Guangxi Peak is not easy to see, but Putuo is a holy land of Buddhism. Buddhist disciples often come and go, or live in meditation. They have the opportunity to appreciate the "snow" of Mount Putuo. Scenery.
But if it doesn’t snow, it doesn’t matter. If travelers want to go to Guangxifeng, it will be very wonderful. Tu Zhuo has a poem that says: “The state of mind is so open and leisurely. Seeing too much. Standing on Guangxi Peak, he is motionless. ”
11. Chashan Suwu
Chashan is located behind Foding Mountain, winding from north to west. The mountain is vast and has many streams in the middle. According to historical records, Tea has always been produced here, and monks on the mountain often pick it before the Grain Rain. It has high medicinal value and can cure blood dysentery and lung pain. There are also camellia trees growing on the mountain, which are several feet tall. , shining like a coral forest, it is truly a sight to see. The tea mountains are foggy, and the white clouds are always floating in the wind, adding color to the mountains and rivers of the Buddhist country. Every time before sunrise, the tea trees are shrouded in mist. , sometimes like a thread, sometimes like a thread, it is like being in it, like a dream, which makes people think endlessly.
In ancient times, there were no residents in Putuo Mountain, and the monks in the mountain planted their own seeds. Growing tea for oneself is an important job for the monks who live in the mountain. Every time during the picking season, all the monks will go out together, and there will immediately be a scene on the mountain called "mountains competing to pick fragrant buds, clearing the fog and passing through the clouds to get the credit" (Ming Dynasty Li). The busy scene of the Putuo Tea Mountain is called "Yunwu Buddha Tea" because most of the tea trees are planted by monks, so the mountain monks' talk about "Tea Mountain Suwu" is also unique.
Visitors go to the Tea Mountain to enjoy the scenery. After exiting the Huiji Temple, turn northeast and there is a winding mountain road. Then you can go northeast and visit Fuhusha via Tianzhu Temple, or go northwest and visit Hougong Pastoral Garden. Later, we went to Hexing Village and drove back to the front mountain.
Twelve, Tianmen Qingfan
Tianmen Qingfan is about the scenery of Fanyin Cave at the eastern end of Putuo Mountain. Fayu Temple passes by Feisha'ao and passes by Xianghui Temple, which is the Qinggulei Mountain in the easternmost part of Putuo. Leigu, so it is also called "Jinggu Lei". There is a large cave at the southeast end of Yougulei Mountain. The cave is 100 meters high and has steep cliffs. It is commonly called Fanyin Cave in Putuo. Among the many caves in the mountain that have always been admired by people, the majestic momentum and steep and dangerous walls of Fanyin Cave are unparalleled by other caves
The mountain scenery of Fanyin Cave is clear and the cliffs are rising. At the waist of the cave, which is several feet high on the cliff, there is a horizontal stone embedded in the bridge, like a jade contained in the mouth of a blue dragon. There is a stone platform between the two steep walls, and a double-layered Buddhist niche is built on the platform, which is called "Guanfo Pavilion".
Anyone who wants to visit the Fanyin Cave must first go down the stone steps from the top of the cliff, and then come to the Guanfo Pavilion. It is said that when observing Buddha here, everyone sees different Buddhas. Even if it is the same person, the Buddha will change according to his view, which is extremely strange. This place is also the best place to watch tides in Fanyin Cave. The Buddha's pavilion is connected to the sea, and the waves are in the cave. The sound of the waves hitting the cliff is like thousands of horses galloping, like dragons roaring and tigers roaring, day and night, and everyone who hears it is thrilling. Buddhist believers came here and were very happy to worship at the entrance of the cave and pray to see the appearance of Guanyin Bodhisattva. In the 38th year of Emperor Kangxi's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1699), the emperor's imperial inscription "Fanyin Cave" was hung here.
Fanyin Cave has always been an important landscape in Putuo Mountain. The Chaoyin of Fanyin Cave and Chaoyin Cave each have their own characteristics, and are collectively called the "Two Cave Chaoyin". There is Luojia Cave under the cliff less than a hundred meters southwest of Fanyin Cave. The rocks here are steep and the ravines are deep. The feet of the cave are inserted into the sea and no one can enter. In the early years of the Republic of China, some monks set up a futon to practice Buddhist meditation on the side of the cave. It was like a bird's nest hanging on the sea wall, which was extremely thrilling.
