Why is Baiwangshan, the historical story of Yang Jiajiang, also called Wangershan Wang Jiahe Village? What is the origin of the name?

Baiwangshan, formerly known as Wang Ershan, is related to She Taijun. According to legend, during the Liao and Song Wars, this was once the military camp of Song Jun, where the Song and Liao armies fought to the death. When Yang Jiajiang led his troops to fight the Liao army, her old lady stood on the commanding heights of Baiwangshan to see the enemy's array for Yang Liulang and beat drums and cheered. In order to commemorate her, later generations called this mountain Wanger Mountain.

Baiwang Mountain is located in the northwest of Beijing, outside the Fifth Ring Road, east of Xiangshan and 3 kilometers north of the Summer Palace. It is the easternmost peak of Taihang Mountain, and its main peak is only 2 10 meters above sea level, which is less than half the height of Xiangshan Mountain. However, it has always been called "the first peak of Taihang outpost", and this area is the place where the place names related to Yang Jiajiang are most concentrated.

Now a forest park has been built in Baiwangshan. There is a five-story observation deck on the top of the mountain. Climb to the top and you will find She Taijun Temple.

Standing on Wanger Mountain, the village in the northwest is called Northwest Want Want and the village in the northeast is called Northeast Want Want. This is the origin of today's Northwest Want Want and Northeast Want Want.

Not far north of Wang 'er Mountain, there are two villages, namely Nanyang (Yangfang) and Hanjiachuan. According to legend, this is the place where Yang Jiajiang and Han Chang, commander-in-chief of Liao Army, camped. Probably because of the old example of the incompatibility between the two armies in the war, the custom of "Yang Han does not marry" has been circulating in these two villages not far away for hundreds of years. It was not until the 1990s that a pair of young men and women in two villages boldly broke through the historical barriers and were able to tie the knot.

Looking from the top of Baiwang Mountain to the southeast, you can vaguely see the location of Xiaojiahe. Xiaojiahe got its name from Xiao Taihou, which fought against Yang Jiajiang for many years, and was originally named Xiaojiahou Village.

Xiao Taihou is a wise queen of Emperor Jing of Liao Dynasty. According to folklore, she once built a palace here. The so-called residence means that the emperor travels along the road and stays temporarily. According to historical records, on the highland about 100 meters northwest of Xiaojiahe Village, there was once a Hongjue Temple with an area of 10 mu, which dedicated three queens. Every time Xiao Taihou came here, he bathed and went to the temple to worship, so there was a relic of "Xiao Taihou dressing table" on the south side of Yangjiafen in the west of the village, but all this no longer exists. In the 21st year of Guangxu reign (1895), there was a flood here, and Xiaojiahou village was divided into four parts by the river. Because there is a river flowing through the village, the name of the village gradually evolved from Xiaojia to Xiaojia River, and then simplified to Xiaojia River.

According to the memories of the old people in the village, in the early days of the founding of New China, when they went to the shops in the market, they also saw the words "small home and back village" printed on the wallets used by some villagers.

Because of the story of Yang Jiajiang, there are many legendary place names in Baiwangshan area. A few miles north of Baiwang Mountain, there is a place called Liangjiadian. According to legend, Yang Liulang once led his troops through here and got wet in the heavy rain while camping. After the rain cleared, Yang Liulang hung his armor here to prepare for the battle, so he left his own name "Liang Jia Dian", which was later called "Liang Jia Dian" according to this homonym.
