Vietnam: Lin Cafe with Unique Style

LAM Cafe is located in the center of Nha Trang, where tourists and local residents from all over the world can not only enjoy delicious coffee, but also experience this brand-new concept of architectural space. LAM means "shutter" in English, which conveys the unique structure and architectural concept of the cafe. Coconut leaf roof covers an area of 350 square meters, and the whole coffee shop covers an area of 800 square meters. This design is inspired by coconut trees, which are also common trees in this city. Wooden shutters are the only design language, because this area has a specific lease time, so the whole building must be easy to build, low cost, comfortable and easy to dismantle.

The roof of the cafe has been carefully designed to control and support the beautiful scenery around it.

The roof has three layers, with coconut leaves at the bottom, tiles in the middle and fishing nets at the end. In the future, the roof will be covered with plants to form a green roof. Wood roof system is not only an aesthetic design, but also helps to solve many architectural problems. The roof is the partition of the cafe and part of the load. The space created by shutters is not as private as a "box cafe" or as open as a "country cafe". Natural light and ventilation can enter the cafe through the wooden shutter system, so that every seat inside can feel the fresh and interesting atmosphere.
