shenzhou (Chinese: Shenzhou; Pinyin: Shénzhōu not u) is the name of the spaceship of the People's Republic of China, which put a Chinese astronaut into orbit for the first time in 23. It was developed in 1992, and carried out the first four unmanned test flights in 1999, 21 and 22 respectively. It was sent by a Long March 2F rocket from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.
There are various translated names, such as "sacred aircraft" and "sacred machinery", but translated as a pun, Shenzhou has the same pronunciation as China's literary name (Shenzhou; Literally means sacred continent). In China, boat means ship, which implies Chinese people's expectations for our own spacecraft.
Basic form and zoning of space capsule Russian soyuz spacecraft, China space agency and Russian space agency have been working closely together since 1994, and Russia has also provided China with the design of Soyuz spacecraft with the same scale and transferred technology. Russia's help in the training of Chinese astronauts is equally important.
Although, China's official media and many western analysts suggest that Shenzhou is not only a replica of soyuz spacecraft, but also designed by Benshi in China to a great extent. In particular, Shenzhou is bigger than Soyuz spacecraft, and it also contains a powered orbital module, which can fly independently, which is different from Soyuz.
