My name is Qian Mu

Qian Mu (1895.7.30-1990.8.30), male, a native of Wuxi, Jiangsu, after Qian Liu, the Taizu of Wuyue Kingdom, King Wusu. The courtesy name is Binsi, his pen names are Gongsha, Liang Yin, Yu Wang, and Gu Yun. His later nicknames are Su Shulaoren and Qifangqiao Ren, and his posthumous nicknames are Su Shutang and Su Shulou. Modern Chinese historian, master of Chinese studies, educator, academician of Academia Sinica, distinguished researcher of the Palace Museum. He has successively served as professor at Yanjing, Beijing, Tsinghua, West China, Sichuan, Qilu, Southwest Associated University and other universities, and also served as dean of the School of Liberal Arts of Jiangnan University in Wuxi. In 1949, he moved to Hong Kong and founded New Asia College. In 1966, Qian Mu moved to Taipei, Taiwan, and worked at the "Chinese Culture Academy" (today's China Culture University). He died in Taipei in 1990 and was buried on the shore of Taihu Lake in Suzhou in 1992.
