Mount: Mechanochocobo
The gnomes' revolutionary invention, the Mechanochocobo, is another marvel of goblin craftsmanship. Each Mechanochocobo is specially designed for its rider. They use state-of-the-art compressed steam engines, four-wheel drive motor power and pure steel plating technology in the manufacturing process to provide riders with reliable and durable transportation. Some people complained that the Mechanochocobo lacked real sentience and felt very silly and clumsy to ride. However, the gnome countered that under the skillful control of the rider, the mechanical chocobo was more responsive than even the best trained mount.
Leader: High Tinker Gelbin Mekkatorque
High Tinker Mekkatorque was the leader of the dwarfs during their most difficult trying period. His position as Great Craftsman was elected by the dwarfs, and the fact that he remained in this position throughout this difficult period is ironclad evidence that his people loved him.
As a clever inventor, Gelbin Mekkatorque quickly became a leader among the gnome leadership with his novel designs and creative problem-solving abilities. He built the first mechanical chocobo, improved the dwarf siege engine, and made great contributions to the mine subway from Ironforge to Stormwind City.
Although little could be discerned from his appearance, the fall of Gnomeregan was a heavy blow to the High Tinker.
