Where did the name "The Scream" come from?

The purpose of Lu Xun's writing of novels is to enlighten the people. The name "The Scream" is that he hopes to wake up the sleeping Chinese people with his own shouts and achieve the purpose of enlightenment in a literary way.

As for the word "Scream", Mr. Lu Xun mentioned it in "Scream: Preface". He had a metaphor for Chinese society. He compared the dark Chinese society to an iron room without windows. The people inside are suffocated to death in their sleep. Mr. Wang hopes that through his shouting, he can wake up the people, break up this iron room, and change the dark reality of Chinese society. Therefore, he named his collection of novels "The Scream".
