How can we live the life of a Buddha and a Bodhisattva? Buddha and Bodhisattva are the great perfect life, truth, goodness, beauty and wisdom! People in the world talk about "happiness and contentment", but Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are the ones who are truly happy and contented. How to get rid of delusions, separation and attachment, we must enter into "one truth". To be separated from each other is to be one. When the mind starts to have thoughts, it falls on the second or third, which is delusional thinking and attachment. In our lives, we don’t need to be discriminating or attached to people, things, or objects, and we can live a life similar to that of a Buddha or a Bodhisattva. This is the most difficult aspect of Buddhist practice. Every time an ordinary person thinks of me, he will never forget me. Whatever is related to me is mine. As soon as you can forget "I, what I have", you will enter the "One True Dharma Realm" and the "four phases and four views" mentioned in the "Diamond Sutra" will be gone forever.
Why are people in the world unwilling to practice seriously? Most of them have a sense of fear. "Everything I have" is gone. What will happen to their lives tomorrow? He does not know that all dharmas are essentially empty and cannot be obtained. This means that he has not seen through it yet. If you know that all dharmas are empty, your body will also be empty. Our body in this world is an illusion manifested by karma, a continuation of karma and its causes and conditions. If you have something in your life, you can’t throw it away no matter how hard you throw it; if you don’t have something in your life, you can’t keep it no matter how much you do. If he truly understands this truth, he will "sow good causes and reap good results." Every time you sow good causes, every time you get good results, there is no way it will be useless.
When a practitioner regains his single mind, the immeasurable wisdom and virtue in his nature will appear. This kind of retribution is what the Mahayana sutras say is "inexhaustible, inexhaustible", but there are too few people who can truly understand this principle. If you are truly enlightened, you will truly let go, and you will truly feel at ease. This kind of people are not uncommon in history, and they are truly free and useful. When we study Buddhism, we must pay attention to it. We should experience and learn from it in order to truly benefit from it.
