How did Tiger Running Spring get its name?
How did Tiger Running Spring come from? It is said that there were two brothers a long time ago. The elder brother was named Dahu and Erhu. Two people are so powerful that one year they came to Hangzhou and wanted to settle down in the small temple where Tigers are now running. The monk told them that it was difficult to draw water here, and they had to cross several ridges to carry water. The brothers said that as long as they could live, we would take care of carrying water, so the monk took in the brothers. One summer, there was no rain, and the stream dried up, making it more difficult to draw water. One day, the two brothers remembered the "Tongziquan" that wandered across Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue. It would be nice if Tongziquan could be moved to Hangzhou. The two brothers decided to go to Hengshan and move to Tongziquan. They rushed all the way and fainted when they reached the foot of Hengshan. After the storm broke out and the wind stopped raining, they woke up and saw a child with a willow branch standing in front of them. This is the fairy who manages Tongziquan. After listening to their story, the fairy pointed at them with a willow branch, and water spilled on them. In an instant, the two brothers became two colorful tigers, and the child jumped on the back of the tiger. The tiger roared to the sky and went straight to Hangzhou with the "Boy Spring". The old monk and the villagers had a dream at night. They dreamed of a big tiger. The two tigers turned into two tigers and moved the "Tongziquan" to Hangzhou. At dawn, there was a spring water. The next day, the sky was full of sunshine, and two tigers descended from the sky. The tigers were digging the ground in the bamboo garden next to the temple, and soon they dug a deep pit. Suddenly, the storm was raging, and after the rain stopped, they saw a clear spring pouring out of the deep pit. Everyone understood that it must be the spring water brought to them by the big tiger and the second tiger. To commemorate the Great Tiger and the Second Tiger, they named the spring "Tiger Planing Spring". Later, for the sake of fluency, it was called "Tiger Running Spring".
