About Mulan tou lighthouse
The tower stands on the bank of Mulan Harbor in the southwest corner of Mulan Bay, with an altitude of 97.2m and a lighthouse building height of 72.12m. It is a fairly modern beacon tower, stamped by China, which can be seen by ships within 24 nautical miles along the coast.
Mulan Bay Lighthouse is the second tallest lighthouse in Asia in the world and the national South China Sea navigation support center of the Ministry of Transport. It guards a dangerous sea area, another Asian emergency gate-Mulan Bay emergency gate (also known as Hell Falls/Hell Gate, the water flow speed is second only to the English Channel emergency gate).
Mulantou is the northernmost cape in Wenchang. The water depth in the bay is flat, and the seabed foundation on the shore is stone, which can stop 10,000 tons of ships and is only three kilometers away from international routes, showing a triangle shape.
Across the sea from the mainland. It consists of Mulan Head, Mulan Bay and a vast hinterland of 30 square kilometers. It is connected with Qixingling, with a linear distance of 49 kilometers at sea and 88 kilometers on land.
