What does Qinhuangdao love story mean?

In Qinhuangdao, there is a legend that has been passed down from generation to generation and is almost a household name. This story is poignant and tragic. Even after thousands of years, we can still feel the sincerity of the love in the story: the power of love can make all impossible things possible. According to legend, there was an official named Meng in the south. His family lived next door to the Jiang family. The two families had a very good relationship, separated only by a fence. This year, Yuan Meng planted a row of gourds under the fence. With careful care, the gourds grew better and better. The vines climbed over the fence to Jiang's house and produced a big gourd. The two families agreed to own the gourd jointly. Who knew that when the gourd was ripe and about to be sawed open, it automatically split in the middle, and inside was a little girl carved with pink and jade! Both families were surprised and happy, and they liked the little girl very much. However, a gourd can be divided into two halves, but humans cannot. Finally, after the neighbors made peace, the little girl was owned by the two families and named Meng Jiangnu. Meng Jiangnu gradually grew up under the love of both families, and her life became more and more beautiful. However, the marriage issue had always made her family anxious, and several people came to propose marriage, but none of them had settled. At that time, Qin Shihuang unified the six countries. In order to prevent foreign enemies from invading, he ordered the capture of 500,000 civilians and the construction of the Great Wall. There was a young man named Fan Xiliang, who was well-read in poetry and books and was a well-known talent. He fled just as the convoy was building the city. After walking for several days and nights, I arrived near Meng Jiang's house. On this day, when I walked to the door of Lao Meng's house, there were pursuers coming from behind. The situation was urgent and Fan Xiliang knocked on the door and called for help. It happened that Member Meng was not at home, and the Meng family's mother and daughter did not dare to open the door. Fan Xiliang panicked and jumped over the wall to enter. He hurriedly explained the cause and effect to the mother and daughter. Seeing his miserable appearance, Meng Jiangnu felt pity for him and rescued him. Got him. Soon Member Meng returned home. After hearing what had happened, he sympathized with Fan Xiliang. Seeing that Fan Xiliang was a talented person, he discussed with his daughter that Meng Jiangnu would marry him. Meng Jiangnu and Fan Xiliang both liked each other and agreed, and they got married that same day. The good times did not last long. Just three days after Meng Jiangnu and Fan Xiliang got married, the officers and soldiers who wanted to marry him broke into the new house. They locked up Fan Xiliang and left without any explanation. Meng Jiangnu spent her days at home like years, looking forward to the stars and the moon, hoping that her husband would come back soon, and the few years passed. This year Meng Jiangnu missed her husband so much that she carried the cotton-padded clothes she had sewn for Fan Xiliang and embarked on a journey to find her husband. She walked from south to north and came to the Great Wall! But there were tens of thousands of civilians under the Great Wall, and Meng Jiangnu could not find her husband for a while. She asked around everyone she met, and the kind-hearted civilian husband told her that Fan Xiliang had died of fatigue long ago and was buried in the Great Wall while building the wall. Meng Jiangnu was heartbroken after hearing this, and asked kind-hearted migrant workers to lead her to the Great Wall where Fan Xiliang was buried. She sat under the Great Wall, feeling mixed with grief and anger: She had traveled thousands of miles to find her husband to give him cold clothes, and had gone through all kinds of difficulties and dangers. In the end, she couldn't even find her husband's bones. How could it not be heartbreaking? She cried bitterly toward the Great Wall, without eating or drinking, and cried for ten days and nights. The tears moved the heaven and the earth, and suddenly I heard a rumble in the mountains. The earth shook for a moment, sand and rocks flew, and the Great Wall collapsed for 800 miles, exposing Fan Xiliang's bones.
